I‘m from Germany and a teacher for 5th to 12th graders. I‘ve been a Star Wars fan for ~30 years, which actually helped me learn English properly when I started reading Star Wars stuff on the internet around the year 2000. My greatest hobbies, when I have time besides teaching and entertaining the kids, are sewing, hand lettering and paper handicraft... or just buying the supplies for them. I've recently gotten into lasercutting and 3D printing - I just love creating stuff! Reading has taken up less and less of my free time during the past years; stupid adult life. Stupid smartphone. But since my boys have gotten bigger (5 and 7), I can get back to that more, which makes me happy because it used to be the most important part of my life. Imgur has truly helped me expand my knowledge of the things people go through in their lives. I’ve had a very fortunate life so far, so my heart goes out to you guys out there struggling. Oh, and I enjoy cringe dumps the most :-D
They actually sell popsicle sized Capri suns for freezing (at least over here in Germany)!
Capri sun is a German invention from 1969 with their headquarters very close to where I live. Its original name was Capri Sonne, but they rebranded the name to the waaaaay more cool sounding English "Capri Sun" in 2017. I and all my childhood friends are outraged at the rebranding, it's like devaluing our childhood. But it's still commonly sth. that teachers will bring their class as a treat, or parents buy their kids for a field trip.
Also, yay on the boyfriend - cool dude!
dito for the German constitution
That sky is mesmerizing
I love the chronology of the first two comments
Winners write history and make decisions
I can't believe you wrote 8 comments in 10 years and 4 of them were for me O_o
Uh huh. Okay. So, like, do you guys get confused with each other a lot? :-P Jokes aside, I always wanted to be a twin as a kid, because my mother told me when I was born they found the remains of a second fetus that didn't make it past the first weeks (Crazy story, I'd love to ask my mum about it now, but she's not with me anymore).
Aaaaaand it's that easy to make someone's day a little better
Ok, what are the other questions?`
Yeah, it's definitely stress. I don't know how to get out of that hamster wheel. I'm glad you're doing better after your stroke, I wish you only the best of health!
I was offered Botox by my dentist against grinding my teeth at night. I wake up with aching jaws and teeth, and there’s massive tension down my neck. So I’m seriously considering it, but pumping toxins into my muscles isn’t something I’d do lightly.
You asshole, I totally fell for it.
True. I have my doubts about that though.
What a waste of food just for some stupid rage bait
Made me laugh more that any other show in a while
ugh, take any romance/ angsty young adult novel out there
Had a friend with very big boobs, she was really unhappy with them. Yes, the back pain, but she also hated clothes shopping because lots of things looked terrible on her. I'd hate big boobs like that on myself, I'd probably try forever to hide them. So good for the ladies that they're apparently making a business of them.
wow, that comment is pretty META
Sorry for being superficial, but all I can think is, how some women in the US don't allow themselves to age. That woman is 74 and spends ludicrous amounts of time and money on looking so much younger. At some point, women over here in Germany start thinking, fuck it, I've earned to look like this, deal with it. On the weekends, I usually go out without any products on my face. If a woman looked like Pirro in politics over here, she'd be a laughing stock. That is such a huge cultural difference!
I didn't say "safe", I said "safest" of that lot, which isn't much!
I'm really sorry you're feeling tired about all of this. Our nationalist, extreme right party is gaining and gaining at every election, you cannot eradicate low IQ and susceptibility to populism, perhaps this just has to happen every few decades? We've had an excellent run in Germany but that was hard-bought (sold?) with "zero hour" in 1945 with the utter failure of nationalism, populism, fascim. Man, I wish I could invite you over for a coffee for a good talk. Hope you have someone like that.
Happy cake day!
Fantastic Tower! Way more exciting than the cartoon on TV, I bet.
I really think redirecting that launcher is more expensive than $60
Im happy for them that they have this much laughter in their lives.
Honestly, that has been our view over here in Europe since the aftermath of 9/11. Obama was just a dreamy interlude.
Those two dudes painting in the beginning are actually the safest
