For me it's the precision of the reaction. No stirring no anything to control the reaction yet the immense pressure starts and stops instantly. It doesn't work like that in reality.

The thing is though. Even though it is American consumers that eventually pays the bill it also hurts to countries targeted by these tariffs. Because of import tariff companies will buy little bit less competitive product from a country that Trump isn't in trade war with. So pretty much the worst dictatorships you can find.
