I don't see how the FAA would certify an aircraft with those. In an emergency it seems like it make problems worse than current seating.

Okay, so in a future war between two different countries with modern air forces. How far out is the engagement envelope between aircraft?(1)

The navy version is said to be sluggish compared to other carrier based aircraft
The Eurofighter isn't even an equivalent. Its a Gen 4.5. The F-35 is a Gen 5.
What European equivalent is there?
Overpriced? Not really.
Compared with being better at a few (2)
