The reason we haven't had one in a while is Amazon has the distribution rights, but not character rights. The family of the author hates Amazon and now won't work with them. NPR did a piece.

I worked homeless outreach for about 5 years. While there were a few that refused services, a vast majority wanted the help. They weren't voluntarily homeless, that's a myth. A majority were either escaping abuse or had substance abuse issues, and the latter is hard enough to fight with stable housing. There were other issues, but these were the top two we saw.
