I realize this is a TikTok video and not likely op, but if someone in Seattle is in this same boat, come take a vacation to Victoria BC. Just pack the fam, jump on the clipper ferry and head over here, or drive to Vancouver. May not be exciting, but no one is getting abducted here

Agree 100%! A small tidbit to add, but I have been here a long time and disabled my ad blocks for my mobile as a test after seeing posts about how horrific things have gotten. I screenshotted a lot of straight up spam ads from this platform. Those have been reported to the news site they claim to be from, along with to the feds as scam investment ads. Definitely! Or at least hopefully they are prepared with a decent boat and engine 😉In my case it was driving my dad’s boat and the first time I hit a swirl and it dropped like that I will never forget. But yes, you push that throttle all the way frickin down and get the heck out of there!
I will say from driving a 18ft boat around Vancouver Island and the smaller islands various straits, when you come around a bend during riptides and hit one of these the boat literally drops 10+ feet and hits down hard when you hit the water again. Not fun! Then you gun then engine to get the hell out!
