For #27 and #28, as funny as it is, why is the timestamp of him sneaking out 10 minutes before the one of him almost getting caught? A bit from a tv show?
I've heard that pickpocketing is rampant in many popular tourist cities in Europe. But to brazenly try to steal camera equipment being used to photo a newlywed couple.....that seems stupid or desperate.
Well, the stores can't always be trusted either. Last time I got a plastic frame the lady in the shop absolutely ruined the frame when she went to bend the ends, and she tried to claim that I was just being difficult when I said that the glasses don't sit right on my face; they were all wonky. A couple of days later I went back and demanded that the situation must be fixed, I couldn't use those glasses at all. With the next frame I wouldn't let the person do anything to them and so the ends 1/2
Didn't get bent. She also wouldn't let me order the frame I had first. That store went out of business a few years ago, and no wonder if that's the kind of service they had in general.
#30 "There's a product you've never heard of, it's highly successful". Uh no, you want it to be highly successful by claiming it is. If it was I'd have heard of it :P
Paper separating screens have been a quite successful business for a very long time and you probably have never heard of THAT paper separating screen. Therefore, your honor, it was NOT false advertising. It’s lame but every company ever uses the same trick.
It can be highly successful in a given country where you don't live. I am pretty sure I can list you a couple of highly successful foodstuffs from Hungary you have never ever heard of. And yet, every shop carries them.
yep. wouldn’t even need to be *trying* to destroy it (which, to be clear, they will). one curious jump and we’re already half way to “To shreds you say?”
Cats will rip it apart is the core point. the sentnace structure itself was a riff on the “I cast -thing-“ meme that mainly evolved from “I cast fireball”
i'll be the first to admit that my chinese isn't the greatest, and there's a lot of background noise, but from what I could make out, she says something to the older guy while gesturing at her bags (this part I presume she's saying she wanted to sit there and set down her bags or something), then she says "because he is a man", to which the kicker responds "then you can go drive yourself in a car. how come you can hang stuff here and I can't sit?". I'm not entirely sure what she says in -
- response (something about sitting), and the older guy tries to calm her down, saying "ok ok why don't you have a seat over there first then" and then she walks off saying "no, because now I know they're a scary person" (presumably walking off to get further away from the "scary person"
hard to say, but possibly both. could've used bags as a pretext, and could've singled that person out because she viewed her as a man who's dressing as a woman
A lot of trains have seats reserved for the elderly, pregnant, disabled, etc. Able bodied people are supposed to give up their seat in those sections if the train is full. My best guess is Kicks-like-a-Horse is in one of those sections, but the train isn't full, as evidenced by old lady getting kicked into a seat.
Kicks-like-a-Horse is being harassed for being a trans-woman. Nothing physically wrong with elder lady, she's being a bigot. And then has the audacity to be surprised when the person stands up for themselves.
i mean let's say that's true... there were plenty of empty seats one being right behind the grandma.... so what the fuck gives her the right attacking someone else? i'd say fine if all seats were full & she was actually sitting in one of those specific seats reserved for elderly, pregnant, disabled, etc... but when there's empty sits to sit in, you sit where it's empty you don't make a scene & attack others for being in a specific sit -.- like WTF?!
Also, with age, an increasing amount of 'elderly' people start to get entitlement issues, that the universe owes them eternally and everyone should bow to their whims. Context IS missing, but with there being a free seat both beside the kicker and on the opposite side, it does look like granny just wanted to be an entitled Cee U Next Tuesday.
I hate entitled people in general, and especially hate those who think advanced age gives them everything they demand. The only reason you made it to that age is by not being annoying enough to get killed, but buddy, you're close.
yeah exactly, they also say with age comes wisdom, ppl like this prove that false so fast it's not even funny... with age in most cases i saw only comes entitlement issues & rarely anything else this days -.-
OK, Yes, I agree, granny is being entitled, sure. But is getting kicked into a possible hip fracture or nothing, or just a bruise, but is getting kicked really called for here? There were seats, the absolutely innocent person in the wrong seat COULD have moved instead of full on door-knockering the old lady. Violence was probably excessive if that was the story.
I'd add the "kicker" more placed her foot on and then pushed, while nuanced this means the initial impact didn't hurt, in addition the kicker directly sent her into a seat not just falling over. Still not something you should do in either grannies or kickers case, but it's far from just blasting granny into next week.
I'm not necessarily on the kicker's side here, but personally I think that needlessly starting a physical confrontation with a stranger is a really dumb thing to do. You have no clue who they are, how much impulse control they have, how much they're dealing with that might already be putting them on edge, etc. It's reasonable for her to think the person is doing something wrong and to even say something about it, but if a person isn't threatening anyone, trying to hit them isn't a great idea.
I absolutely disagree with it, but I don't say it never crossed my mind before with some people...
Some people - young or old - are just horrible for no other reason just because they enjoy hurting others if they think they have the upper hand. Source: worked with customers as a minimum wage droid :(

Yup, how serious the characters take the sport is what makes it amazing. Serious fighters in an absolutely ridiculous sport.

Efreeti
Man dispensing near-naptime is a chinese professional photographer. The man in his grasp tried to steal his camera equipment.

Probably pickpocketing. At the very end a woman says "he was working together with two other guys" which is a typical MO.

Apparently Ikea operates in China. They have 38 stores.

Indeed, but China also has lots of lookalike businesses, even for large chain stores.
