I'd write something interesting about myself, but if I were interesting, you'd already know about me.

Yeah, I paint as a hobby, with water based paints, and this time of year I just can't do it. The paint doesn't dry.

"Relatively" being a key term. We were using monthly treatment, but my backyard borders 3 other backyards with dogs and cats, so a couple fleas now and then just happens. Have to get her flea treatments from the vet, not OTC, because even one causes her to itch all over like crazy.

Sorry, between Jewel, Lisa Loeb, Sheryl Crow, and that entire genre, I prefer my conventionally attractive women looking kinda nerdy with an acoustic guitar.

My son always hits recruiters with the ol' one-two punch of Autism and ADHD. The really pushy ones get the double tap of scoliosis and colorblindness.

I was just kinda thinking about the luxury we have of not having to package our strawberries like this because we can just walk outside and grab strawberries, and there are people living in regions or climates that they don't grow well or at all. I just kinda randomly one day found blackberries growing wild right next to my driveway.

I have followers? I did not know that, lol.

You know what I absolutely hate? Cherries. All cherries. Cherry flavors, all of it. I don't get red powerades so I don't accidentally grab a Cherry one. They added blue Cherry to their mix, and now I hesitate there, too. I hate every aspect of cherries. Never once have I tried to prevent someone else from putting a Cherry on their milkshake. I also don't know why my phone keeps capitalizing Cherry and at this point I'm gonna let it. Anyway, I just don't comprehend these bigots and their thinking

I'm in East Texas and it's been a while, but I'm a pretty good marksman and good with firearm safety and care if Utah is too far away.

I sometimes wonder how many brilliant careers we missed out on because they said "no" to a man currently in prison for rape, or the wrong article was written about them that never got retracted like it should have, or they got labeled "difficult" for demanding humane treatment and respect, or any of the many reason innocent people get blacklisted.

My grandpa taught me a bit of close up magic when I was little, and told me that 90% of the time, the trick is doing exactly what everyone knows you're doing, while making it look like you're not. "Oh, he palmed it!" Of course he did! But he made it look like he didn't, so it looks way cooler!

Yeah, but also, imagine being Amy in this scenario, like, "Surely this girl is going to recognize me, right?" But at the same time, not wanting to pull a "do you know who I am?" line.

Hell, some people made good gold doing Corpse Runs, where they'd go into a dangerous zone and retrieve your body and gear for you. Like, that was a full on thing people did in game. That's how they earned their keep! Just retrieving lost gear for other players.

I loved when there were ROLES. Now the only role is DPS. Tank? Maximize DPS while generating aggro. Healer? Maximize DPS while keeping HP bars full. DPS? You betcha, if it doesn't increase damage it's a wasted ability. Early MMOs like Everquest had roles like Crowd Control, who's sole job was just temporarily take enemies out of the fight. Or buffers/debuffers. Or pullers, who were fast moving to grab the mobs and pull them to save zones for a fight. Dying was a taxing thing, not a blip.

Yeah, poster is Amy, saw someone dressed as the character she played, and said cosplayer didn't recognize her as the actress that portrayed the character she was cosplaying as.

Right?! Knew a guy that had immigrated from Nicaragua, spoke English, Spanish, and Portuguese, and could read and write in French but wasn't verbally fluent. He was a janitor. I asked why he wasn't using his linguistic knowledge, like as a court interpreter, and he says, "I know the languages, but I don't know all of the specialized terminology."

Yeah, some of the first things he would have been taught but had to skip would have been classes talking terminology and the like that would have made him medically literate.

Right, so like an adult with a 3rd grade reading level would be able to function in daily life, but be functionally illiterate in a research setting, whereas a 12th grade level might struggle, but be able to parse it out enough to be considered literate in a research environment. My friend works in New Mexico at a medical research facility, and with only a high school diploma, was working alongside people with doctorates. She is now working on higher degrees, but she started without them.

There's also "can read" and "can read well enough to interpret medical terminology at the researcher level." It's possible for someone to be literate, but at a certain level they're just as effectively illiterate as a fully illiterate person, especially if they only received a minimal education.

Or when transposing mediums has them skipping the growth, ie. Not having Sokka be sexist initially in the Avatar adaptation. His whole deal is that Suki kicks the misogyny out of him, and he spends the rest of the series filling that hole with knowledge of how to do and be better.

I prefer the theory that he was told it was going to be faked like Trump's was, but behind the scenes the string pullers knew that Trump's was too obviously faked so they needed it to be real.

He had meds that worked for about 6 hours, so I was trying to get him to do his assignments in those 6 hours, lol.

One horde and one alliance. That being said, any character can use either one. If you teleport, say, to your horde house on an alliance character, you can still behave normally.

Between my house in FF14 and the two new ones in WoW, I'm practically a real estate mogul!

Start of covid, my ADHD son had to do his school work on his phone until I could source a laptop. Needed random phone checks because ADHD, and I find him on the hub. He's so apologetic. I'm just, "Dude, I don't care that you're on the hub. You are a teenage boy! Focus up and do your assignments for the day so I don't have to check your phone first! Then you can science the rest of the day, I don't care!"

Yeah, I know it's not for everyone, but my wife will sit on the phone, wasting more man hours than that fee costs, until the fee is reversed. She is always very polite and courteous to the person on the other end of the line, but that call will not be over until she's gotten her fee reversed.

Tax Loophole for the rich: Want to avoid paying taxes? GIve that money to your employees. But not as a gift. Call it "wages," and those suckers will have to pay the tax instead of you! Then, those fools will use that money instead of hoarding it, and they'll GIVE IT BACK TO YOU in exchange for your products!!! This scheme is brilliant!

In some places steaks are way cheaper because they'd rather sell them locally than spend the money to transport them. My wife came home with steaks and a big roast today.

Do three sets of ten, Lateral Raise with full extention, and then tell me if that 5 pounds is heavy. I've had grown men, fit and healthy, balk by rep 6.

Knew a guy decades ago that was fluent in like 27 languages. He was a pizza delivery driver, but it was crazy playing RISK with him and he'd speak the language of whatever region he was attacking from.
