Also the entire point of a Martingale collar is to prevent the dog from slipping off the lead, not the same use as a choke collar.

Prongs are not spikes. They distribute pressure evenly around the neck muscles instead of crushing the trachea like a flat collar does.

Yeah! :) Diffused topaz. She might also be strawberry, but it's hard to tell being so light already. Her siblings are darker.

I'm glad you relocate instead of killing! Less living non-venomous snakes means more room for rattlers and coral snakes...

Yeah I was about to add, it depends a lot on species, too. Many rat snakes are known for being extremely defensive and will bite/musk often.
