Stick is very viable. You can play with anything and I think stick is still the most popular choice :P. SF5 PS4 beta is out July... 23rd?

Yeah. What you want is something like a hitbox. No stick, all buttons. Lets you do things you can't do (or do easily) on a regular stick

MadCatz is nice but because of their size they're limited in what they can do. The new ones are easy to mod though so they're still a good
Works on PS3 and 360. The PS360+ PCB works on SNES, Dreamcast, PS3, 360, PS4, and others but you generally have to install it yourself
MadCatz has quality sticks but they aren't dual modded. That's almost necessary right now
