I’m getting From Dusk Til Dawn Vibes, any minute the dancing girls will grow fangs, the old hags dolled up will melt into demons and Trump himself will expand and transform into red skinned grinning Satan, while the rich guests run screaming into the locked lobby..
And nothing less manly than simping for a decrepit, corrupt authoritarian. Not that I buy into the whole “manly” bullshit but how these fucks can see themselves and their whiny flab-filled cult leader as alpha males just defies parody.
What’s extra ironic is the justification for such lax gun laws in the US is always the second amendment, the “well regulated militia” necessary to defend a free state which demands the right to bear arms, yet here you are in the midst of a fascist takeover and the gun nuts are all cheering.
Uniquely American huh? You guys really swallowed the exceptionalism propaganda didn’t you, even the non-fascists.
The problem with celebrating the death of someone who was assassinated is that you are tacitly endorsing the idea of assassination. If you think it was ok to assassinate Kirk for spreading his twisted version of Christianity, then others will argue it’s ok to kill AOC for example for being so vocally anti-Trump, or Bernie for being a “commie” etc. Celebrating murder should not be normalised, no matter who the victim is.
It blows my mind that the US is just allowing all this to happen. None of the checks and balances work when you give so much power to one corrupt individual. If you survive this, you need to completely overhaul your systems of governance.
I just watched the movie about the rescue of the Thai kids trapped in a cave, so much effort to save 14 lives, a wonderful story. Then I read about the kids Israel murders every fucking day and I just can’t wrap my head around the disconnect. When will these murdering fuckers be brought to justice? How do we stop this?
It’s an Australian piss take of the Australian TV series The Slap based on the Australian novel The Slap. Whoever posted the title needs a slap themselves.
What does that even mean? Will movie tickets be subject to tariffs? Will streaming sites charge more for foreign made movies? Make it make sense.
It was certainly part of it. One senator made the mistake of saying “Make Australia Great Again” and got thoroughly roasted. We also had a billionaire funded party called “Trumpet of Patriots” (yes really) with basically Trump policies that won zero seats despite spending multi-millions in advertising. Most Aussies despise Trump and rejected anything that smelled like him.
Is this yesterday’s lie list?
Well if Trump and co don’t need to follow legal rulings I don’t see why Greenpeace should. Two can play at being disrupters of the system.
I hope our government and universities tell the US to fuck off and find funding elsewhere. Time to find new friends and investors in science who aren’t fascist arseholes.
