This is on top of the tobacco and sugar taxes major urban areas have already put in place. So yeah, let’s stop one tax and create others.
Here in Pa they created a 40% wholesale tobacco tax which exempts cigars somehow as well as shifted money from other grants to fund schools.
And they’ve already raised them everywhere. Now they’re literally inventing new taxes or shifting funds from other grants on the state level
They already get funding from the state and federal. Lowering the PT and replace it with either of those will just increase those taxes.
