I played on Xbox and would burn through the dance mats before the warranty period was over, so they would give me another one in store. Stopped playing two years later when my local best buy refused to stock the nice dance mats because I'd been getting two free replacements every month.

I used to be in that camp, but these days, for a few hundred bucks, you can get a eARC sound bar with Atmos, and it sounds incredible. Much more dynamic soundstage than my previous multi speaker 5.1 setup. And don't even get me started on Atmos headphones. You can buy an Atmos license for your PC for like $10.
