For some it’s not even just about the kids. I’ve noticed there are parents that expect their own payouts and back pats.
I worked for someone who bought a hummer when people thought the same about them. However he actually took it off-roading so he was well known for having scratches all over which drew attention. I understand the thought process (flashy, gets attention) however I agree with you on not wanting to do business with anyone advertising on it.
I have a theory that it’s so wealthy people with money to burn on nothing can signal to others that they are so wealthy it doesn’t matter. Because they are useless outside of slapping a business logo on the side for advertisers (which is what a lot of people in Lake Ozark are currently doing).

I’m glad Medicare covered it! When I worked in an ophthalmologist’s office, the nurses regularly had to argue with insurance (mostly Medicare) over the phone to cover it. They would deny it because it was labeled as “plastics” and thought to be elective. While it is a plastic surgery, it’s an extremely important one that helps save lots of people’s eyesight.
