Personality I had a coworker in my department when I worked in a store, who if he realized he had either woken up minutes before he was supposed to be at work, or 2 hours after, he would simply just not show up or call in. So when I rarely called in I felt like I had to be certain they knew I wasn't being like him, nevermind that I would typically call multiple hours before my shift instead of 15 minutes to.
I think if I was still a kid in school and some kid showed me their planner and it looked like #21 I would probably actually punch them in the arm if I was having a bad day. On a good day I would just say "why the fuck did you do that to your book?"
