Even strong sunlight isn't enough light. You also want to chose your targets well. Hes resting the lens up against his finger propped on the wood so he can spend time focusing carefully. The lens alone is like 650g which gets very heavy fast.
Going by the amount of smoke coming off the wheels, its possible the brakes had been applied for too long and had overheated. The metal expands and suddenly you don't get any friction at all. Happens a lot here in Australia, where on long stretches of downhill on highways, they instruct to use lower gears so it slows you down, and they have crash beds full of stones as a last ditch method to slow down in a controlled way
Looks like a real photo, but the parallax on the clouds doesn't look right, like its on a flat plane tilted towards the "camera" with the top moving faster. The mountains are bending as well as it moves right to left.
Also I'm pretty sure the pattern on the kittens hind quarters as it steps up, stays in place like the leg is sliding inside a pouch of fur. That should be the pattern markings on the leg itself, and would move as it took a step.
Its a damn good AI fake though, I had to watch it two dozen times to spot it. Editing doesn't help, but its getting harder and harder to tell

The secret is to have solid visualisation of what you want, and just keep throwing yourself at your canvas until eventually go "This isn't what I had in mind but looks fine I guess" and then be sad forever at the lost infinite possibilities, while ignoring the achievement of what you did create. Rinse and repeat until death.
*Do* double check the landing gear mechanics though as you go though, I had mine in the wrong position when building, and had to undo a stack of steps to fix it.

Pretty sure it a compression stocking, so rolling it on like that is less likely to irritate/hurt any healing wounds, while more evenly applying compression.

And if it helps, some test images I took with the lens either using just sunlight, or a small LED light that had adjustable brightness and colours /a/NXZTgz4 with focus pulled on the fly without physically stabilising against anything in most cases, since most targets were on leaves or thin branches. Worth getting that flash diffuser!

Ground effect is an aerodynamic effect normally caused by plane wings close to the ground, as the air they push downwards has something to push "off" from, giving additional lift. In this case the Skis are acting like thin wings and generating some lift on their own, which gets stronger when it gets close enough to landing
If you have that problem again, look for a product like "Nature’s Miracle Advanced Cat Stain And Odour Eliminator" which uses enzymes to actually break down the proteins causing the smell. 5-10 minutes later it just smells like weird lemon stuff, which can be wiped up/mopped up safely
