Yeah... If you're in school or work with someone everyday you can make a friend in a month or two. If you see someone once a week at a club or event for let's say 4 hours per week you're still looking at a depressingly long 50 weeks
@op it takes 200 hours of face to face time until a friendship develops at least on average according to some study... Which is depressing. Try going to the same thing every week. You may be looking for variety but joining a club or some recurring thing is the best chance. I could go on and on about how hard friend making is at 30. Very difficult
