It was the sound I think. The noise of agony in a little sentient cartoon shoe is absolutely terrifying.
For me it was always that poor little shoe that got dipped. That always really messed me up. Still gets to me now at 23 years old.

Most cats have fully colored eyes, save for their pupils. We don't usually see the whites, because they're covered by their eyelids.
