Everyone inside the bus excitedly waving back made me sentimental

Despite my love for dogs, I wouldn't recommend attempting this-- fingers are often dismembered doing this exact thing in pet friendly apartment complexes. Emergency stop if possible, or if you're really confident unhooking the collar in a split second.

All these machines in my area can only move once per direction, probably to thwart this type of skill..

I've been there myself, they're incredibly well fed, happy, lazy, and very familiar with humans. Most animals there are retired circus and theater animals.

Seems pretty difficult to last-minute when the recommended check in for long flights is 2 hours before flight time minimum. It usually takes at least an hour for scanning and walking endlessly to the designated runaway.
That being said, I have been offered an upgrade once at check-in out of about 10 international flights I've been in

There is actually a tactical smoking formation where a bunch of soldiers gather in a tight circle facing the center and creating a human chimney

I understand the rationale behind being cautious, but bees have a simple enough nervous system that the gas she's doping them with will keep them calm and confused for as long as one wants. In the worst case scenario, if the gas runs out or the machine gives, just get out of there.

From a culinary standpoint, can't argue it's good. Contrast in flavors is a classic in emphasizing taste notes; salted caramel/chocolate, balsamic vinegar+fruits, honey and cheese, etc. Some claim it's the baking part of the pineapple is what they find discomforting, but some fruits simply get sweeter when heated (pineapples included)

Sure, I agree being a foreigner alone denies many job options, and that is unfair and extremely frustrating. To be fair however, being a foreign English speaker alone opens a whole another field of jobs that the native Japanese can't have.

Honestly I prefer a xenophobic country where the worst is that I'm ignored compared to a country that mocks racial features in your goddamn face.

Many, if not all, Asian countries are xenophobic. While you could argue that is a type of racism, it's vastly different from racism in the US (or 'any' European country) that involves bullying, assault, robbery, slant-eyed mockery, etc.

Among OECD countries however, the US has a rather poor approach to recycling... of course, some do it when the opportunity presents itself (rarely), otherwise into the big ol' dumpster of everything along with animal carcass and whatnot.

it does in snow, and Korea has a lot due to its heavily mountainous geography. From how dead the plants look in the video, it does seem like the clip is from late fall/winter.
