Good source. That MIT study is pretty interesting. I wonder if shorter image durations could be shortened if the participants were primed.
Try unfollowing every one of your friends and then only adding back the people you actually care about. It takes an hour or so but worth it.

I would go further and say that the photographer was likely the person who placed the jar, taking the picture immediately post-placement 1/2
