I’ve found maybe two or three that I’ve been able to see. Most of them I can stare at for an hour trying to make my eyeballs defocus enough or whatever it is you’re supposed to do and still not see anything but visual white noise

This is what I learned in the church I went to as a kid. God made the world but he probably used evolution to do it. Preachers didn’t feel qualified to comment on science and science teachers for the most part didn’t feel qualified to comment on metaphysics.Obviously this wasn’t in America. Coming to live in the US as an adult it took me a long time to realize that 90% of what passes for Christianity here is far-right politics with a religious gloss
