They nap standing. But they need to lie down to get dat rem sleep
I mean maybe if they slept for as long as people do. But they only sleep about 3h a day, and can easily do it lying down if they're healthy.

When my dog (nicknamed Bobo) passed away, my neighbours told me I'm free to go and pet and spend time with their dog anytime. 1/2
Its one of the mutations that make dogs look better to us, but can sadly have harmful side effects.
Fun fact: merle dogs have a higher chance of developing skin problems than so called normal colored dogs.
It even makes me interested in what things I would pay attention to in my country.
