They’re allowed to be wrong. We kept the French pronunciation of the native name, Kansas was settled later by predominantly English speakers and they took the English pronunciation.

Spent a month in Tartu and Tallinn for grad school. Beautiful country with beautiful people. One of my favorites ever. Merry Christmas!

Gotta remember there's a LOT of golf courses that are public, or muni's with very affordable fees and access. Most are actually. Now, it skews wealthy very quickly but I'd agree that the majority are actually middle class down. Course I grew up playing was private, but was $40/mo. Now it's $60, 20 yrs later. Still incredibly affordable. And course closes at 6pm to become a walking trail til dark.

As a white dude, it seems folks either can't handle a pepper flake, or put Uncle Scratchy's Sphincter Destroyer on everything. No in between.

Lots of refineries not in Texas. But again, we import the oil we refine.

Oh their reputation is so bad it crosses over into my weird side too. I've known people who wouldn't take an offer at another carrier because UHC was option.

I'm not sure you could get much more evil than the other one... Maybe if I shaved it into a goatee?

While this definitely is a good idea, FMLA requires you to be employed there for 12mo. I'm not sure @op has been.

Yes to both.

Yeah these nicer, remote, specialty type places definitely win over hotels. But for "going to random metro area for a few days..." Has definitely shifted back to hotels.
