I did the thing.
I switched to minimalist shoes to force myself to run on my toes so I put less stress on my joints, but I still hurt every single day. 2/2
Yes and no, meniscus that far in the joint doesn't really heal, and being in the military they still expect me to run on it. 1/2
Luckily I didn't tear ligaments, but my torn meniscus still caused painful popping after several months so I had a partial meniscectomy done
That's what takes it from being great to being the greatest.
