I'm me

Literally 17 seasons into forensic files right now, I didn’t realize how long this show went on for! I remember watching it (way too young) with my dad and he would just… change the channel for a few minutes if it got too gory?! It’s super weird to watch it all again and 1. See just what my dad thought was “too much” and 2. Actually find out who dunnit lol -I swear not knowing was scarier than if he’d just let me see a dramatic reenactment of heads in a bathtub

Would pads for skateboarding work? I assume they wouldn’t restrict movement too much?

Literately stopped scrolling to go buy an ally pin. I forgot how such a small gesture can be a reassurance to someone. Plus the more acceptance pins/gear etc people see, the more the hateful people will realize they are outnumbered

Wait… how do I get one of these !?!

My dog does this but she’s not tiny so she crashes into furniture and people haha. She also will somehow tap the blueberry just enough that it gets wedged between her toes, then she’ll fling it wildly until the blueberry flies across the room and she’ll chase it down and start going crazy again. I thought my dog was the only one who did the weird blueberry thing lol

Mine is… a unique dog for sure. They are a primitive breed so training is a bit different. Stranger wary, huge cuddle bug, uses her paws like hands, maybe a bit neurotic? Has to be kept busy or she’ll cause trouble, but always like weird goofy trouble. (Mine tried using the cat running wheel one day?!) I always say “she is both the king of the court… but also the jester, too smart for her own good and always doing something dumb. My favorite dog though lol

I knew someone who did that, and his crow just hated him forever afterwards. (He just told me the story, he had done it well before I knew him) even not knowing anything about crows at the time I was super angry and couldn’t believe someone would hurt their pet just to see if it could talk.

Just went to a 21+ museum “after dark” event. I think it was their first one, I thought it went pretty well, no idea why they chose nachos and ribs as the food to give people touching all the exhibits though lol

Oh wow I had an old beat up one as a teenager ( well my dad had one he left me drive) teal and white. We crammed as many goofy kids in there as the tiny car would manage and would just zip around the driveway. Once, one of the kids farted and everyone else scattered trying to escape, it looked like a clown car at the circus with kids jumping out the windows and trunk haha I think there were 9 of us in there somehow

But once she gets to know someone she is back to being a sweet snuggle bug, it’s just a pain in the beginning. She’s great with kids, cats, and my chihuahuas and she’s super smart, like the kind of smart that you have to keep busy or she’ll find some way to get into trouble. She’s an ace at the feeder puzzles and empties them quicker than I can fill them. And my kids have taught her all sorts of weird useless tricks that she picks up with just a few minutes of training.

So every time she has yo go to the vet, they have to sedate her, except the lady visit they managed to finally do her exam while she was awake, but she needs to wear a muzzle. At home she is WAY better, but if I have a new friend over I hold her collar for the first visit, let her loose but sitting next to me for the second visit, then let her completely loose the 3rd time they are over and by then she’s usually used to them enough that she just keeps her distance if she’s still nervous.

Her feet get a little pimply, haven’t quite solved that issue yet, but I leave them alone unless they get big, then I use cleaning wipes while they clear up. The big issue with Xolos is that after the first few months they have decided who their family is and they are wary of any “strangers” after that. So introduce them to anyone you need them around often and early. I got mine right before COVID so we didn’t get her to see a lot of people and trips to the vet are terrible now (continued)

I tried sunblock the first year and it seemed to clog her pores, so I don’t use anything now, I just slowly acclimate her to the sun in the spring so she doesn’t get a burn, until her skin darkens up all the way, then she’s out loving the sunshine with no sunburn issues

My xolo is a mix of both a king and a jester. Weird, weird personality haha

They are hairless, but their skin is way different than hairless cats (I have both) the cats feel like soft baby skin, the dogs feel like elephant skin, thick and a bit “rugged” I don’t bathe my xolo that often, mostly just coconut oil or lotion when her belly skin gets dry in the winter, and a slow acclimation to the sun in the summer. My xolo also grooms herself like a cat? Not sure if that’s breed specific or not but she seems to keep her skin healthy.

I’m in NH and our xolo does fine in the cold, obviously quick trips outside when it’s really cold, but she usually doesn’t even want to get a sweater put on first or anything. Half the time I’m freezing standing on the porch yelling for her to come back in and she’s just bouncing around in the snow. The problem we have is her skin dries out in the winter, so she gets lotion and coconut oil rubbed on her belly.

However the marine mammals protection act might get him in trouble, you aren’t even allowed to take whale bones, let alone chop one up and take pieces

And I don’t see a single raciest flag, what is it about trump events that draws so many of those? … it will remain a mystery forever I guess (sarcasm)

Probably males breeding with her, it happens to the “favorite” hen at our house, though it’s usually more on their backs, maybe ostriches breed differently than chickens?

When I was a teenager I got hiccups for 2 days straight and by the second day, each hiccup made me puke and eventually dry heave and they hurt my abs so bad I couldn’t even get out of bed. I can’t imagine 68 years! I’m still always a little scared when I get hiccups lol

Depends on the cat, our peterbald (totally hairless) needs weekly baths, our sphynx (who has peach fuzz fur) needs them less often. They both need their ears and toes skin folds cleaned often though

My dad used to oil paint, and I was playing tag and my sister pushed me and I fell into one of his (dried) paintings and I basically got road rash on my face, arm and hands from that texture.

I avoided it until thanksgiving this year, it sucked so bad, and I got the weird side effect of being queasy, even now I still feel like I might puke… all day, every day. Hope I get fully over it soon

My husband got pulled out of his car in his job’s parking lot. they told him the car was getting towed but wouldn’t say why, they all had their guns pulled and they unscrewed his license plates and then left. When we went to the court date they said it was for an unpaid 7 year old moving violation fee, but he had saved the check stub from paying that so they said it was for a different violation so we just paid and left. Super weird.

we dehydrate mushrooms all the time, but usually only for throwing in soup later, basically we dry anything that we get lots of in the garden and use it later in the year when its not growing season.

Oriental shorthair or peterbald, I have peterbalds but they are not the ones with big ears ( seems most of the big eared ones are from Russia, and are much more expensive and rare in the US) but their ears are a bit bigger than a regular cat’s ears. What’s best about them though, is their personalities! Absolute love bugs and too smart for their own good, I spend all day either snuggling with them or yelling at them.
