I lurk, mostly. Say hi! I don't usually bite.

Yeah, this was unfortunately the call that a lot of us had to make this past election. We had to vote against the party we didn't want, instead of voting for the party we wanted. It was the right call, i just wish it wasn't the one we had to make.

As someone that uses a variety of operating systems on a regular basis, i can say with full confidence that they are all equally shit for different reasons. There isn't one that is better than the rest. But, most of them are quite good at a handful of tasks. So you just need to choose the right OS for the job.

People say that, but i'm almost 40 and i've never had to replace an oven. Every oven i've had has been as functional the day i moved out of a house as it was the day i moved in. Regular maintenance and care will make even the shittiest appliance last for decades.

Count me in too! 13 years on this site, and i'm not willing to walk away without at least trying to get our voices heard. From the moment the clock ticks over to September 1st, to the moment it hits October, i'll join you. ♥

As many have pointed out before me, this is complete bullshit. The first time, and only time that day, i posted the John Oliver image it got removed and i was given a warning. So don't try to tell us that it was 'a single user tripping over the no spam policy'. This whole message reads like "you can keep doing what you're doing but its not going to change anything". And referring to *yourself* as Business Daddy? Not a good look. You fucking leech.

We never should have deviated from the John Oliver picture. As soon as we did, the message became mixed. And now its just lost in a flood of content that's barely any different from a regular day on Imgur.

I assume the article goes in to the full details (its behind a paywall and i can't be bothered to subvert it); but the header leaves out a crucial detail and makes it seem like bsky is choosing to block the state just to avoid being fined. The crucial detail is that, by blocking access, bsky is avoiding being forced to collect user's sensitive and identifying information, including copies of government ID.

Man, i had a guitar that looked very similar like that. I loved it to death, but had to sell it about 10 years ago to cover some bills when i was at a low point. I've looked for another several times since then. Never been able to find one. Such a beauty.

Exactly this. I was so proud of CUPE when I heard they defied the section 107 order, and I hope every single union continues to defy it any time it's used until it's stricken down for good. If a business, pivotal to the economy or not, relies on underpaying it's workers in order to survive, than it doesn't deserve to survive.

The words he's saying are good and correct, but he has repeatedly demonstrated that he doesn't believe in a single one of them.

I've never had as much confidence in anything as she has in her top.

If they're going to charge you with assaulting law enforcement just for demanding they show a warrant and ID, than you might as well *actually* start assaulting these ICE pricks.

Their auto-mod situation is hot garbage, and has been for a while. Lately i've had some of my comments get quietly deleted; no DM, no warning, no explanation. Just zapped from existence as if they had never been posted in the first place.

Oh. 'Being your sub' as in subscriber. That's... totally what was going through my mind when i clicked the link. Absolutely. +1 subscriber for you!

"Turned out to be"? They always have been. Their greed and aggressive defense of their brands has been well documented for decades. And this is a pretty standard EULA these days, unfortunately. Sony, Microsoft, Steam, Nvidia, they all have similar clauses.

Every time i see this guy's content it makes me smile. Its goofy, deliberately so, but its also full of such genuine excitement and enthusiasm!

You hit the nail on the head with cost. I would love to eat strictly organic, but, living in a rural part of Canada, the prices of processed foods is already leagues above what it is in the city. The price of organics, if you can even get it? There's just no way its feasible.

Though there are many things wrong with the clickbaity phrasing and dubious claims in the image, the idea behind the project *is* a really good one. Essentially a larger scale community garden, of sorts. Community gardens are a wonderful thing for folks that don't have the space for their own private gardens!

This is why, though i do enjoy the stories, i will only ever pirate Harry Potter media and buy bootleg merchandise. And will eagerly tell people as such if it ever comes up. Not a single cent of mine will ever go to that horrible person; it will instead go to the people that profit off of stealing from her.

It's possible they do rotating crops to help balance the nutrients in the soil, alongside a bi-yearly crop of indigenous wildflowers to really help with the sustainability of those nutrients. It's incredibly unlikely, but it's possible! I'm desperately trying to be optimistic here. Or I'm just lying to myself. Hard to tell which is which sometimes.

Sad, but true! My GSD/Husky is getting up there in age and he's doing well so far, but i'm constantly keeping an eye out for those joint issues.

Gorgeous work! I absolutely love how accessible lighting and electronics is for cosplayers these days; it really elevates the whole thing! ♥

You're cognizant enough to make this post, and that's a very good sign! And you're right about our system. It certainly has its faults, but when it's time to move, they *move*. My dad had a major heart attack a couple years ago, the kind you don't typically survive, but he pulled through because of the speed and care of the system. You're in good hands!

I do a lot of tabletop stuff for charity, and just recently had to dismiss someone that we've been playing with for nearly 10 years for reasons I won't get in to. It fucking sucks, dude. It's heartbreaking for everyone involved and I'm sorry it happened to you. I hope you're able to find another good, reliable group that's excited to RP just as much as you are!

It doesn't give us a smaller hitbox, it just makes us even bigger targets. Thankfully though, it also comes with melee weapon proficiency.
