I think I'm a firefly flan. Just... some bits less so. But yeah in general. Also there's a realllly good board game that I happened to run into it one afternoon (well before I started my own transition lol) and then I played it all afternoon. Played one game with 4 people, took 3 hours. Then we did another one right after cuz it's great.
out of gas is sooooo good. But no way I'm gonna rewatch all of it. There's a bunch of whedonisms and some other unsettling cringe I can't do again. But I love the setting and the style.

the status quo was a downward spiral and a lot of things were already going poorly for a lot of people. Obama would be a massive step up, but not if everything continued in the same way it actually happened. Obama was pretty good and he ran a great campaign. But he didn't *fundamentally* deliver on the hope and change imo. Lots of people were still stuck under the grinding boot of corporate capital and that only got worse. Marriage equality was great tho, absolute winner.
You get number 1. The other two would risk his donors and buddies and we should let bygones be bygones, forgive and forget, stop the division, let's never talk about it.
goddamn it's absurd how there is *already* no criticism allowed of potential democratic candidates. Newsom is way too much of a soulless corpo to inspire anyone. He'll lift off of "at least he's not trump" but any democratic candidate will do so. He needs to actually *offer* anything other than "status quo pre-trump" because that status quo is what caused Trump. And it's not like the previous 'cozying up to the right' strategy worked but he's already doing that. Palling around with Bannon.
