Sulfuric acid produces a chemical reaction that removes a water molecule of carbohydrates. This doesn’t happens with most acids.

Starch, cellulose and other fibers are not affected by the stomach acids or enzymes.
Also the stomach have enzymes to digest protein. These enzymes are activated in acidic pH but it have no effect on sugars like cellulose.
Nope, a few herbivores have bacteria in their gut to digest cellulose. And acid is not a dissolve all magical bullet.
Cotton is cellulose. Very few animals can digest cellulose.
