I think he just didn’t wanna redo it, so he was flipping it around thinking “damn, I swear I did this right. Maybe it’s like that.”

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

There's only 6 possible orientations-- it could take up to 5 seconds to try all six, so get on it.

I usually cut my plywood upside down so my chalkline leaves a better line. Then when I cut the face side, it's easy to get mixed up.

Fuckin triangles...

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Someone didn't have perfection growing up and it shows

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Damn, I really wanted him to give up, cut another one, fail to figure that one out, give up, and walk off the job.

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Brain fart, been there done that

6 years ago | Likes 157 Dislikes 1

Oh yes. My first job I cut the boards to the wrong length like 3 times in a row because I was nervous.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Measure twice, cut once, buy more fucking lumber.

I’m tiling my floor right now with large hexagon tiles. I’m there right now.

6 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

The ones near the edges aren't hexagons anymore on your floor..

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

No they are not

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

6 years ago | Likes 215 Dislikes 9

in his defence, he can't just flip it as one side is threated while the other isn't

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

When all you are is a hammer, you want to nail everything.

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

But surely a tool

6 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 1

He needs a banana for scalene..

6 years ago | Likes 408 Dislikes 2

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The scale was fine, he needed to use a pineapple to flip the board correctly.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

6 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Really? There's only one 90 degree angle...

6 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 6

Right?

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I think if he put it that way the wood would be facing backwards? I have no idea if thats an actual problem though.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You can flip the piece over...

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's what I meant, but the wood has two distinct faces. Which is what I meant by backwards. But idk if the facing direction matters.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Kinda, but not really here. OSB has a rough and a smooth side, and on a roof you don't really want the slick side up. That little chunk...

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

...shouldn't hurt, but there's a good chance at that time of the day his brain was refusing to flip it in that direction.
