before you ask, we use a very small keyboard
That last sentence tells me this was written by someone who does not have a cervix.
"The loud american" isn't something that applies to every American working in japan, it's more of a thing people are hired to be. She's an easily replaceable english teacher whose future at whatever her next job is could be compromised if she doesn't do what's expected of people in her role.
Pretty metal way to deal with an iron deficiency
Go mald at Jon Stewart. He did it first, and on network television.
I did elect not to keep the nips when I had top surgery, so maybe it affected me more than I thought 😂 Never again will a cat make that mistake on me.
I had a cat who did that to me as a kitten. It was pretty cute until he found a nipple while I was asleep... I wore tighter shirts to bed after that lmao
Maybe because Washington is actively on fire? That's just my guess, I upvoted them. I was stuck inside from the smoke a couple of days ago, though thankfully we've actually gotten a little bit of rain in some places so it's all dying down. I do think the burn ban helped a TON, too. We had some pretty bad fire seasons a few years in a row but the last two years have been relatively mild.
#4 Does anyone here work at a place with AI ordering? I'm curious how employees feel about it. Seems to me like it would be pretty nice to have, assuming it actually works well, but obviously I wouldn't know.
I don't mean that the reason is arbitrary. They just wrote it in such a way that enforcement is arbitrary. As written, it looks like you could have five untagged posts over the course of five years and get slapped with rules that don't apply to other people, or you could post two untagged and one tagged four times a week and not have any special rules because the mod just doesn't feel like it. There are no solid metrics that we've been made aware of, so they can just do whatever.
Interesting! Looks like instead of saying you have to tag it, they say they "prefer" if it's tagged and they'll just single people out and punish them individually if Imgur makes the arbitrary decision that this user is Doing It Wrong.
I was 10, almost 11 when it happened. It's definitely a formative memory for me, like it was for so many other young people here. it was the first national tragedy that many of us had experienced, and we all went to school that morning and watched the news with our teachers and talked about everything that was happening. Showing up for elementary school and spending the first hour having the teacher explain why people were jumping from the towers before they collapsed was something.
It’s “just history” to the vast majority of Americans who were around when it happened. The farther you get from new york, the fewer and fewer people have an actual direct connection to the tragedy. Most of us just watched it on TV and felt bad about it.
Imgur needs to update their TOS to say tagging is mandatory if they’re going to threaten to remove posts for not doing it. Right now it explicitly says tagging isn’t required to post to the gallery.
We’re both at 0 points right now. Guess a mod saw us lmao
I’ll take “Posts that mysteriously won’t hit the front page” for 800
It’s also not against the TOS. Why are we threatening to remove posts for doing something that they specifically say is totally okay to do because tagging isn’t mandatory, exactly?
How many poor 58-year-olds do you know who have skin like that?
Fangs on anything other than canine teeth feel so wrong (unless they're all sharp, that's fine)
Wild what money does to a body
The lives of their employees come before the life of this random dude who's demonstrably awful for the entire hobby. They have the antivenom because they need to have it, and the whole reason the guys friends have to beg places to donate theirs is because it's incredibly scarce and takes a long time to make.
The 2001 recession wasn't confirmed until 2003, and it took them until 2018 to finalize all the numbers from 2006. We won't technically know we're in a recession until well after it's started, but the classic recession indicators are all here, and they've only been getting worse. Personal debt is going up, people are using credit to pay down other credit, and starting in October everyone who hasn't been paying their student loans is going to take a massive credit hit, among so much more.
You must be a hoot to watch movies with. "I know this is staged, by golly, that Robin Williams guy sure is funny anyway!"
I'd like to think we're both at 0 right now because someone was as upset with my joke as they were with you for dodging it
I don't think it can get that hot and still be soup, it's mostly water
Technically what I got in trouble for was harassment because I refused to stop sending the videos lol
I've been so tempted to get business cards from local trainers and put them on my upstairs neighbor's door. Their dog constantly barks and howls while running from one end of the apartment to the other when they aren't home, it's absolutely maddening. Crate training would do wonders
If I may offer a better devil to advocate: Leviticus claims that bats are insects, at least in some translations. God may have dictated the creation of the Bible, but humans still wrote it, and they wrote it in the context of the world as they understood it. The text being incorrect doesn't prove the entire thing is false, it just forces you to decide how much of a literalist you are and how confident you are in your own understanding and interpretation.
I very nearly got myself fired in protest over something similar. I refused to stop sending my manager videos of me being ill after he condescendingly suggested that I was lying to get out of doing things. It was the first day of work I'd missed in my year+ being there I was throwing up every 30-45 minutes and ended up in the hospital because I couldn't keep any fluids down at all. HR made him give me a verbal warning instead of firing me lmao, but he never questioned me like that again.
But I want it to happen while we’re able to observe it :( I don’t live on Ganymede, I don’t give a shit if it gets blasted
Funny how school shootings drop off when school isn't in session
