I believe that we need to re-think about the role politicians have on our lives as they have too much power, as ideology should not be in politics, as it is being used as a weapon to destroy others, no, policy should take precedence, Ideology is for the individual, and family, never for any leadership/governance!

We got more than two centuries of functional government out of a shared commitment to stability via traditions and norms, but inevitably the top spot gets taken by a psychopath or narcissist willing to burn it all down just to light up their reflection. I agree we would likely do better with more than two parties, but that would take a rewrite of our constitution and election laws which neither party are incentivized to pursue.

The bigger problem is that the Democratic party currently contains every non-insane conservative politician, and the party 'liberals' in power got that way by being centrists in the 80s and 90s. There is no actual liberal party right now, there's only fascists vs. a center-right umbrella that's mildly not terrible on social issues.

We as a nation painted ourselves into a political corner that we can't get out of, and it's really frustrating to see the same patterns over the decades play out and there's nothing you can do about it, except protest and vote, and rattle online with political theories, ideas and solutions and hope something sticks, or at least is promptly disproven, I'd much rather be proven wrong than run around in ignorance! I mean, nothing I say is written in stone, until it's proven or disproven.
