In games, thereâs a rule about that (well, itâs basically a variation on Chekhovâs Gun): The player should always know if they can jump over a fence.
On the surface, it means that a fence you canât jump over should obviously be too high to jump over, e.g. 6 feet instead of 3 feet. But it doesnât only mean that. It means that you need to be honest with the player with your visual language.
So avoid waterfalls, and if you need one then put some fucking thing behind it. Even just a viewpoint.

The fun part is making stuff behind most of them but kinda junk, then on a few you have a ledge higher up that you can only reach from somewhere near the top, not from the water at the bottom. Most people will take the crap loot at the bottom and never find the real hidden treasure.
If you -want- them to find it you can leave maps or something, but that's limited by how veteran (salty) your dev-team are.

Missed him as early as the week he left office. Still get sad when memes like "biden blast," surface- we really thought we won. I really believed the Maga movement was all band wagoning and would cannibalize itself at its first real setback. Can't say it was a rationalized belief. Was it? I'll admit the American decline was slower under Biden but its still a decline. Power was still held in a oligarch class that had total control over the media, quality of living was getting worse, but because its a democrat in house, people were complacent and content.
