I ended up watching it as someone else in my house was. Paul stood back with his arm out most of the fight while Tyson took a few shots. Both didn't move in for different reasons, Paul was too inexperienced and Tyson was too experienced.
It was rather boring.

I choose a different perspective. Boxing for the purpose of entertainment is a stupid idea for the individual. I would think most who get into boxing is because they want to box, not because they want to entertain.

Nothing about the fight was "regulation". 2 minute rounds, 14 oz instead of 10 oz regulation gloves in general only used for sparring. Only 8 rounds in total. Oh, one participant is 58 years old, and the other is 27. Tyson hasn't boxed once since 2020, and he almost died in June, It was predetermined, regardless of the younger one not having learned one single boxing skill.

It was such a fun fight to watch. You can tell who didn't watch the event based on if they thought it was good or not. Noone cared about the Paul fight after the Ramos fight and Taylor v Serrano, that cut looked so rough but im glad they didn't call the fight over it.

I dont get how ANYONE thought a boxing fight between a 27yr old dick head and a 58yr old FORMER heavy weight was going to be anything but disappointing. There was a similar fight in the early 2000s that was similar between two famous boxers one older and one in his prime. It was also a sad fight.

The training videos of Tyson looked great but he gassed out like after 30s or less. He looked like he was just trying to make it through the rounds. Paul was just unimpressive. He had 30 years on Tyson and was just tip toeing, scared of getting hit. "Defeat" is a strong word... but Technically correct i guess.

Taylor cheated and was clearly the weaker boxer. She kept head butting, illegal move to cut an opponent. Then she just focused on that cut the entire fight trying to win by technicality. Serrano landed almost twice as many punches and took less damage over all. This is the 2nd time they fought and Serrano was clearly winning in the ring against Taylor.

Oh yeah, it was a great fight but those judges robbed Serrano. She should have won by at least 2 rounds, especially with the point deduction for the multiple headbutts from the other fighter.
