yay! highway ready!

probably last longer than the rubber band spare tire most cars come with these days

Lotta trust in the welds of that device

This isn't new. They have ones that work much better that they use for moving cars in show rooms

If only cars had wheels..

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Still can't remove the wheel to do a brake job, and not nearly enough clearance to work on anything under the car, so what's the actual point? I'm open to explanation, I just don't get it as presented.

I'd never put my car on wheels that don't have brakes.

Works fine until you hit the tiniest crack in the pavement.

...why tho

I often wished for something like this while looking for a parking spot along the streets of Chicago. Just a little nudge forward or back.

Good idea for AWD cars and trucks, I guess.

Looks like a diy version of go jacks

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

These are around a long time. I worked in a car park about 25 years ago and we used them to move people's cars around for fun.

Not sure'd I'd trust plastic casters?

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

They already have those, they known as go jacks

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'd like it to use beefier metal bits.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Pretty sure this is already a thing. This is just a homemade version.

Car skates *nods*

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is essentially the same as the dolly that tow trucks use daily

1 year ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

Now if you put swivel casters, you can push the car sideways, or spin it around…anyway…. https://a.co/d/caZYSy3

My friend doesn’t understand what this is for, can someone enlighten him?

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

It's for pranking the boss by sliding his car between two columns so he can't go home.

1 year ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

I make a nickel, boss makes a dime, that’s why I trap him on company time?

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Ummm, caster wheels would let you push it without using the steering.

1 year ago | Likes 68 Dislikes 0

And are normally called car skates *nods*

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I feel like they’d have to be sturdier and would therefore be more expensive.Depending on the usage, I don’t know that the extra cost would be worth it.

1 year ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Yeah seen tow drivers use what you're describing

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

And those, unlike OP's, let you move the vehicle sideways.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Shitty Go-Jacks.

1 year ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 1

Yeah, the amount of time it takes to do one wheel with this ghetto version makes you wonder if it's even worth the hassle at all. These don't even have castor wheels so all you can do is rock the car front and back.

The point of Go-Jacks or other car skates is that they're super quick and you can skate the wheel in any direction on the castor wheels.

No caster wheels = pointless.

It's hard to remember all the words you meant to type when you've had a steel bar slam your face so hard your dandruff is flung into low earth orbit

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You know those little wheels on two trucks? That's exactly what those are.

1 year ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I thought they were on more than two

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Two tow or not to toe.

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I'm upset at how under the radar this comment will be

But none of those make acmethinghtatliftswheelsofftheground.com any money.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not for me, I'm stupid af when it comes to automotive crime

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yeah but with this you can turn your friend's car sideways inside his garage

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Like what? Details, please.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Put it in your pocket and walk away while making vigorous eye contact with anyone who cares to look at you.

But, would you download one?

1 year ago | Likes 43 Dislikes 0

We have 3D printers now.
