He's forever going to brag about this anytime we play on it.

Instructions unclear. Melted wedding ring to table.

clearly he doesn't know what he's doing.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

cool, shame it's such an ugly table tho.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

So did you ride his ass about those side bumpers not lining up? Check them with a 3 ft level and a framing square, they look like hell.

Go Blue!

Neat.

Cool table and nice post, but down vote for Michigan. Go Buckeyes!!

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

As a lifelong Buckeye and alumni I must concede that this is awesome, had no idea what went into this, well done OP!

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Maybe he'll learn how to play better so I can take him to tournaments with me.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Whatever Butch. I give you s match.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Why on earth wouldn't you position it before installing the slate? Or was there just too little room to work otherwise?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is it level?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He did a great job; now if he can just take off that Michigan sweater, he won't be a jagoff.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Liked everything about this but the sweatshirt. Go green

10 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 3

Ballsy move.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As a billiard mechanic with 17 years experience i give +1. He could've stretched cloth in pockets better. Overall it looks good. Well done

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Also left hand side rails look a bit off in last picture, but that just might be camera angle. Looks like a Connelly Billiards table :)

So this is the brother. I've never out a table up before. I watched a couple YouTube videos, stayed at a holiday inn and decided to try it.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I used adhesive on the sides to help pull the felt tight and than I stapled it. I also did use shims to level the slate just no pictures.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It plays good so far I haven't noticed any bad rolls. I'm sure I could have done things different but all in all a success id say.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And to all of you UofM haters out there I'm sure I'll be hearing your cries in the upcoming years. Go Blue!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Next time you are there, sneak away and find something to put underneath one of the legs so that the table has a slight slant.

10 years ago | Likes 134 Dislikes 1

That's not how slate works.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

Calm down, Satan

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You bastard! I love it!

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Ah a true sibling.

10 years ago | Likes 37 Dislikes 0

Also someone who has never tried to lift slate! But still I congratulate the desire!

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Unfortunately these things are so damn heavy

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

yup, the majority is the granite slabs though. if you move those separately it's not so bad.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Granite? I thought the good ones used slate...

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

sorry, yup you're right it's slate.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

in my defense, i'm pretty hungover today ><

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You had me concerned that what knowledge I had of pool tables was woefully incorrect...

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As a mover, can confirm. So. Damn. Heavy. Pool tables, grand pianos, and gun safes. The three pieces that haunt my nightmares.

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Whats the proper way to move a grand piano? Pull the legs off and stand it on edge in the truck?

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yes

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

how about old 60 inch t.v i mean the ones with the tube?

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

OH FUCK THAT! A 40-some inch TV was 600lbs! (~270kg!) Screw a 60" one!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Bad, but not nearly as bad as the big three

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Why is it about 2ft off the ground?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Er, that's about how high pool tables usually are.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But....they aren't?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

then why do I need a step ladder when i play!?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Non regulation table? or you are short...

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've never seen a step by step of how billiard tables were put together, but I always assumed it was very difficult! So, good job!

10 years ago | Likes 332 Dislikes 0

nice username

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Your username... I decoded it, damn you +1

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

For those that are wondering, (or lazy) this translates to "cera"

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Don't do it this way

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Why?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Slip a little before it fully cures

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Put the Centre piece of slate on first. Makes the levelling process easier and faster. Staple the cloth. The glue can allow the cloth to

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What you said, but in correct order...

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Apologies for that

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

well this has a couple faults so don't use this as an example. Some good work though like waxing the slate seems.

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 5

What faults?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Too close to the wall, wrong color felt, felt inside out, iron left plugged in unattended with children present, no beer, Michigan fan

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wouldn't you like to know, fucking pervert...

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Yeah probably that's why I asked

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

More over I didn't know a Michigan alum had the cognitive aptitude to build something of that magnitude lol

10 years ago | Likes 73 Dislikes 12

And you also didn't know that Michigan is the #29 university in the nation too I guess... why don't you keep your mouth shut.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 14

It's not the UM alums that are slow, it is all the Walmart Wolverines. Either way, Go Green!

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

O-H!!!!!!

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 7

I-O!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

I-O!!!!!

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

Wait-they aren't assembled when you buy one?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Every time you move one you have to replace the felt, this is why I left my table with my last house.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nope. since transporting a very heavy slate piece inside a big tableform is hard.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Guess I never thought about it. I just imagine I'd really mess it up

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

never move it without popping a gonad

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Can the delivery place send someone to assemble

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Like an IKEA pool boy named "Big Juan" wait, is this a set-up for a porn movie?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I mean? Well, you just never know
