Are we gonna talk about the author being named Jelisa?

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They also own Wizards of the Coast. This could get interesting.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Can they put Dre's Chronic on Spotify now?

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The term Hasborg was coined when they absorbed Magic the Gathering and D&D. I miss Avalon Hill.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They've owned death row records since August of last decade

This deal was made before the new year. Guess it was just settled though.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

We are only 4 days in and this is the second post that’s got me questioning. Like why would they want info on death row inmates.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

No /s or ;)? Just in case you’re not kidding, Death Row is a record label. A lot of famous rap artists had albums through Death Row Records.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I know who death row records are. But didn’t think of them same as 343 industries have hired a pug. Makes you go huh

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

guess that means we can officially use them as backing music for d&d and magic the gathering

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Already has at least one canon Archdemon, and a God of Chaos.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

One? Why not FOUR?

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Who are the other three? I can think of a potential second, but that's it. Haven't seen past S5, so that might be why.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's...a warhammer reference..

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh. As you may be able to tell, that was not obvious in the least. I thought you were talking about archdemons.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I guess we're all bronys in the end.

6 years ago | Likes 313 Dislikes 3

Mlp references fear and loathing in Las Vegas and The Big Lebowski movies, which are R rated. Nothing new here

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Under-rated comment.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

6 years ago | Likes 631 Dislikes 3

Same thoughts

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Okay, definitely glad I'm not the only one.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Could be Disney.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You only did that because "why not, it's 2020" made perfect sense.

6 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

So does the hasbro executive who bought the death row records.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I hoped I wasn't the only one to interpret it that way.

6 years ago | Likes 142 Dislikes 0

Well you'll be pleased to know that I too thought they bought the names of several serial killers for some reason

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Don't worry, there are at least three of us.

Probably Vinyl Scratch - she's already canon.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I'm endlessly amused that the top comment on the video is by CGP Grey

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

She's not rap, though. She's dubstep.

To explain: Hasbro bought the company Entertainment One (eOne), which owned Death Row's library, along with Dualtone Records...1/?

6 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Dualtone's home to folk and indie rock acts like the Lumineers. eOne also owns Last Gang Records (another big indie label) and... 2/?

6 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

eOne also has a film division and television, which includes links to Criminal Minds, Walking Dead, The Rookie, and more. 3/4

6 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

All of those things are why Hasbro bought eOne, not just so they could own Death Row Records. I hope this explains it well enough.

6 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Thank you for the explanation.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ye and i'm fairly sure this purchase happened like last year, so Vice is either really slow on the uptake or the purchase was finalized now.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Hasbro announced the acquisition closed December 30th, so Vice is a little slow, but not bad timing for this article.
