The moral damage has already been done... If it's unfit for humans, then everyone who was there should sue. There's a great opportunity for a class action suit for both US and origin countries. Not easy but the court just gave everyone a window.

And peope in hell want ice water

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So they have 60 days...

It's a bold move by the judge but Trump and his dickweed constituents don't listen to laws they don't like. Enforcement of punishment is the only method to stop this and I highly doubt anyone in the legal sector has the balls to do that.

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They won't listen. For billionaire reasons. Also because she's a woman and they think women are the enemy and not worth listening to.

7 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It isn't being shut down because it is a horrific concentration camp that offends any sensible person but because it violates some environmental protection laws in the area. They are going to spend 400 million building a new 100 million dollar camp further north in Florida to replace it.

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Like that's gonna happen.

Oh well another $500,000,000 down the drain

Where are the police gonna come from to hwlp the process of the courtborder? All cops are with ICE now.

Putin told him to get fucked today too.

7 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They have already said they don't give a fuck what the courts say.

7 months ago | Likes 114 Dislikes 0

Well Abrego-Garcia just left federal custody yesterday so clearly some of them care a little bit. The question is if we can invite everyone involved here to do the same.

7 months ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

the big bullshit boondoggle (big beautiful bill) allows trump to ignore the courts for up to a year so this will come to nothing.

7 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So, they are bringing in more, got it.

In August 2025, Williams ruled in favor of a coalition of environmental groups and ordered that the immigration detention facility known as Alligator Alcatraz be closed within 60 days and that no new detainees be brought to the facility, due to the irreparable harm that the facility was causing to the Florida Everglades https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kathleen_M._Williams

I honestly thought you were quoting from Braveheart for a minute.

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And when he doesn't, Susan Fucking Collins will show up and tell us he's learned his lesson and we should all move on.

7 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

And what's gonna happen when they say fuck you and keep it open? Not a fucking thing.

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I mean, he's already shown he'll just completely ignore any court order he doesn't like, so what makes anyone think this will be any different?

7 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This just means Drumpf has 60 Days to repeal all Environmental Protection Laws in Florida.

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

SCOTUS will overrule no doubt.

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Remember when he sent a mob to overthrow the government and was convicted of 34 felonies and didnt get any punishment? Yea the law doesnt fucking matter anymore.

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

note: the order comes from environmental concerns, not the obvious human rights violations. environment is important, but misses the point.

7 months ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

I agree with you, but at the same time, take your wins where you can get them. If it's environmental concerns that get Alligator Auschwitz shut down, I'll still be happy that it was shut down.

7 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

They got Al Capone on tax evasion. You get them any way you can get them.

7 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Within 60 days, lol. What a joke.

7 months ago | Likes 58 Dislikes 4

Can't just immediately shut down, you have to do something with the detainees. Even if it was to release them all, you need to get affairs in order. This judge is a good one and knows that.

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

A federal judge, Kathleen Williams, has ordered the shutdown of the Alligator Alcatraz detention facility in Florida. This ruling prohibits new detentions and mandates the removal of current detainees within 60 days. The judge cited violations of environmental laws as the primary reason for this decision.

Dang, if only you had read what you commented on.

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Rhey built the place in just a 2 weeks. Why 2 months to clear it out?

7 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Waiting for the new locations to be finished first.

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"shut down" in this case doesn't mean "stop using and move everyone out" it means "no new people and dismantle the entire thing" and giving them 60 days to do that isn't wholly unreasonable.

7 months ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 2

The place is rife with structural issues, they are building new ones. This is a publicity stunt. They will shut it down and move them to the new facilities. 60 days is enough time to build the new locations and move the detainees.

7 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I mean... Have you seen pictures of it? Give one guy a moderately sized bulldozer and that shit would be dismantled in an afternoon.

7 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Bulldozing it would cause more environmental damage.

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Just shut the power off first

7 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

What's the penalty for an "anti-American woke activist" judge?

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Chuck Schumer will write a strongly worded letter.

7 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

A shoulder shrug and a " welp, I tried" from the judge. Judge might even give him a strong look of disapproval

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Considering the SCOTUS gave him absolute immunity, absolutely no punishment for him. A few underlings might end up in court for a few days, but old Presidential Pardon still exists and "They're being treated so unfairly" Trump will absolutely just pardon them if it comes down to it.

nothing

We all know what the right punishment for a dictator above the law is, and that it needs to be dished out by a determined individual who will become a hero for their actions. Be this hero!

Bill Barr lying to Congress. Again.

He goes to appeals court and wins. I'm not wrong those appeals Judges are all bought. Millions from Trump. Every time he goes to appeals he wins. It is fucking lunacy.

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

At this point, if we're able to keep successfully playing whack-a-mole, not all hope is lost. We might actually have a chance at improving once he's gone

A shrug and a "well, we did all we could"

7 months ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Same as all the other court cases he lost this year

7 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

For him? Nothing. For the goons who would be carrying out the illegal orders…….probably also nothing.

It’s the goons who could be arrested en masse and charged. Were that to happen we’d find the government behaving much different. Trump could bluster all he wants, but that far old fuck can’t carry anything out himself.

But not too strongly worded, because decorum.

And writing too much would make Chuck Schumer's arthritis flare up.

But if the military and police rebel against the orders and against the government administration ? Key Aspects of April 25

The Carnation Revolution:

A military coup organized by the Armed Forces Movement (MFA) led to the peaceful overthrow of the Estado Novo dictatorship.

A Day of Liberation:

The revolution ended the dictatorship and Portugal's colonial wars, establishing democracy and fundamental freedoms for the Portuguese people.

7 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You expect the police, who have proven themselves to be nazis with their "above the law" and "i can commit murder and get away with in unless there is a massive protest" attitudes?

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He was on fox news today saying he was the chief of all law enforcement so..

7 months ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

he is the law according to him.

7 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

And a war hero!

7 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

He might be above the law, but none of his underlings are. The people who have to physically staff and keep it open can be held in contempt ond arrested. Even if he issues them all pardons, funds can be frozen. No one's gonna go keep it running with no paycheck.

What's he gonna do? Go keep it open himself?

7 months ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Oh please do

He'll trip and fall face first into his beloved Gator's waiting jaws

7 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

He can't pardon those who get held in contempt, it's a State judge, Tangerine Toddler would be powerless to do anything.

We're allowed to vent. It's that or you'd be bitching about us being complicit. It's not like we'd be stupid enough to actually plan shit in a comment section anyway. So save your judgements for those who gave up, and not for those who are still venting.

7 months ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 2

Well, according to the constitution the House SHOULD draft articles of impeachment and the Senate SHOULD vote to impeach…

However in our timeline, someone will likely nominate him for a Nobel peace prize for standing up to a “bully.”

7 months ago | Likes 100 Dislikes 0

Wouldn't be the 1st time he was on the same list as Kissinger

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The house votes to impeach, the senate votes to convict.

7 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

*shakes fist* Those damn bullies. Always picking on the little guy. Always trying to stop honest hard-working people from committing massive human rights violations.

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is where the third branch of govt gets to weigh in. If they side with the executive against the court then nothing happens. If they side with the court then it's what the comment says.

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I mean... he was impeached. Twice i believe. Doesn't seem to do much.

7 months ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

You'd think it would make him ineligible for further office, but nope. It just went on his report card, and that was filed in a cabinet in the basement somewhere.

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The committee actually quietly removed his name from the list of nominees.
