I was told by my doctor that they used to prescribe for asthmatics. Asthma constricts your airways, cigarette smoke actually opens them up.

I can't do any sort of smoke personally. Nor drive behind old diesel trucks. Chlorine pools & perfume are also no go, for me.

My asthma developed when I was younger do to inhaling second hand smoke from my grandmother who's a chain smoker, so yes.
