Wait there is no cocaine in that! BOO! Boo this man!

starts your heart then stops it. perfection.

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

That does not look appetizing at all

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I did that 47 years ago in Miami

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The best part of waking up...

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I do this at home with my SodaStream. Love that thing

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

There's a place like this in Cody, Wyoming

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

If any is interested, it's Lexington Candy shop: https://www.lexingtoncandyshop.com/

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

My kid thought she and her friends invented floaters

This is exactly the same thing that a soda fountain does, just by hand instead

Lumps of ... something. They should clean them more often.

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

3 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 11

Ah yes, soda with mashed potatoes, those were the days!

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ok but all soda fountains are essentially doing the exact same thing, they just mix it together as they pour so you don't have to.

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I mean, that's pretty much how all fountain machines work. Just add ice cream.

3 years ago | Likes 78 Dislikes 1

Sure, but the employee doesn't actually pump the syrup individually. It's all automatic.

3 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 4

And that makes a difference … how exactly?

3 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 3

The human touch

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Because you can't charm or bribe the machine into giving you an extra pump.

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Tradition.

3 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 3

Because the employees don't change out the empty syrup boxes and you end up with shitty watered down soda 70% of the time.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 8

Bro as fucking loud as the machine is when those empty we change them IMMEDIATELY.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Better let the human variable make your soda. /s

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

3 years ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 0

Oh, look, a cone with 2 scoops of ice cream

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Thank you, I live in NYC and there's a few places in the city that are old and do coke like this. Now, I know the right one.

3 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Yeah, I gotta check it out. Don't get up to 86th too often, but might be worth the trip.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Just ask a cop where you can get coke

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Please tell me this place is still open.

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

There are alot of those small places here in Dallas that still do this. They are the best soda

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's coke with ice cream... You may not be a chef but you can probably make it yourself.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yes, Lexington Candy Shop

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This place is still open.

3 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Good enough +1

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I've had Dr Pepper this way at the museum in Waco

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Back in my day we called that a coke float

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Or in modern days....

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We call it a spider, in Australia

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Yes, still remember that. Really want one now after watching this.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Having access to the syrup from BiBs makes the best coke or Dr Pepper shakes. Orange Fanta makes an awesome dreamcicle like flavor

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I only recently learned the term BiB because I now work for a Coke bottler. Strange land to be in.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nothing is heavier and more awkward than loading a BiB in a restaurant. Like a 50lb shake weight. Be safe!

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I love coke, I love ice cream, I love floats, but I can't stand coke floats.

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Rootbeer float > all other floats.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yep, absolutely

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Orange soda is up there too. It's like an orange creamsicle

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And we all know someone who would be drinking the syrup straight.

3 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

I do indeed, and they'd be "look at me I'm so unpredictable and chaotic HAHAHA RIGHT GUYZ" the entire time of it. They're exhausting.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I knew a guy who tried that and threw it straight back up.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yeah that shit can eat your skin. Definite chemical burns in the mouth. Do not fuck with it.

3 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 2

My friend doesn’t get it, can you help him out?

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

The soda shoppe equivalent of a bartender is/was known as a soda jerk

3 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Thank you, cool little piece of random trivia there…. is what my friend said….

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Wasn't COCAINE one of the original ingredients in Coke-a-Cola?

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

iirc it's not an ingredient per se, but a natural byproduct of one of the other ingredients.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Iirc, the coca leaves from which cocaine is derived were a part of the brewing process.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My uncle used to work for Coca Cola - I can say that is around twice as much syrup as you should use for a pint glass (compared to pre-made)

3 years ago | Likes 119 Dislikes 12

Yeah I'm sure you know more than them cuz your uncle drove a truck for coca cola once.

3 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 15

I guess if you’re at the point of adding icecream, you’re already past normal Coke. What’s a few more squirts of syrup gunna hurt.

3 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

Quiet you !

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I've worked with Coke to can Coca-Cola and this seems fine. All depends on the throw of the syrup. I think ours was around 1+4, but that...

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

...was for a factory.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hand pump syrups are already partially diluted so they blend quicker and pump more consistently.

3 years ago | Likes 108 Dislikes 0

I gotta remember that line... for reasons.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

cool

Water? Who adds water?

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

It's soda water, essentially adding the fizz.

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

Now I wonder when that fizz, being carbon dioxide, will be forbidden because it adds to your CO2 impact (/s just in case).

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Most modern syrups use about a 1 part syrup to 5 parts soda water ratio. Obviously some variance and certain high volume products

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So they'll certainly get a different taste, arguably tastier - depends on your preference of course.

3 years ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 1

I assume that's a reason they haven't changed yet. So they can customize their sodas more.

3 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

Idk if Sodastreams are a thing in the US, but they've taught me that more syrup is NOT better

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I couldn’t do that job because 6 pumps is way out of my range.

3 years ago | Likes 732 Dislikes 4

It's all in the wrist.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They call me the shotgun, only two pumps to shoot

3 years ago | Likes 68 Dislikes 0

Named after your mother who only requires one cock

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If you're pumping your shotgun twice, then you don't know how they work....

3 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

And still you wonder why Americans are fat. :-)

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

We literally don’t wonder that because we’re not any fatter than any other western countries.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

USA have the highest obesity rate of any western country.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Average BMI in US is 28.5. Basically all western countries are 27 or higher.
