If you hit the brakes the second you see a cop you are going too fast and you fucking know it

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I think we can all agree that people who cut in the line are horrible.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Its the limit to how slow you can go

8 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 11

If you want to drive slower, that's fine. Go in the right lane. If traffic isn't impeding you and someone wants to pass, go right. Simple.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Try going 55 through Atlanta

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

The way most people drive explains why consumer debt continues to grow faster than consumer earnings...They are just fucking bad at math...

8 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 7

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 19

What if I can't drive 55?

8 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 1

Because i tried my best illegal move and some black and white touched my groove again.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe Sammy Hagar had a similar issue

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

seems nobody else understood this reference!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

v

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

+1 for all you Sammy Hagar lovin’ mothers!

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I go whatever speed I feel is necessary. I'll go 20 in a 55 if the weather is fucked.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 3

Convincing everyone you are right in an imgur comment=trying to police speeders by driving the speed limit in the left lane...doesn’t work.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's been far too long since some of these commenters have read the driving handbook!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Honestly, fuck that book and the driving test in America. My brother just took the test and the amount of signs and rules that I have never

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

seen, heard of, or situations that I've run into after 10 years of driving is ridiculous. The actual test is parallel park then can you stop

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

at some stop signs in a neighborhood. They don't take you on the freeway or anything. Test to ez, rant over.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I go 5 over always in fair weather and speed limit in bad. Then as fast as comfy in horrible. Try to be considerate. Hate you if you dont

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

But fucking seriously! If you are doing 5-10 under the speed limit on a clear sunny day with no one in front of you, going straight to Hell!

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 4

Most places also have laws on impeding traffic for the assholes that drive 20 mph under on highways.

8 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 3

in your ENTIRE life, how many people have you EVER encountered going 20 under on a highway..?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

I live in Florida. Multiple times a day.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

i don't believe you.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Unless the weather is bad it's a lower limit...

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Actually there is a third. Go only up to the speed limit but go in the left most lane and accelerate to block those that try to get around

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

Above 50 "Go at least" below 40 "Speed Limit". Don't fucking speed in neighborhoods or near schools.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You forgot the third kind that's going 45 in the passing lane with headphones on, man-handling a chimichanga while talking on the phone.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I see the right sign is made for NJ drivers..

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I don’t care if you want to go slow just don’t do it next to another car who is also going 5mph under the limit. Get over! ):<

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

Unless it’s Alaska. Then you have the 35 mph and below. And the 65 mph and higher

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

GOAT

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Add a minimum speed limit. Tired of going 60kph in an 80kph 1 lane zone.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Interstates in the US have a minimum of 45mph (~72km/h) generally, although havent seen a minimum elsewhere.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That minimum is horrendously lower than what it needs to be. 55/60 should be the lower limit.... as even if I'm doing the posted limit 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

if I round a corner or crest a hill and you are doing 45 just on the other side.... its really fucking dangerous. 2/2

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

some places do have a minimum speed posted and even when there isn't one cops can still stop you for going to slow

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Go exactly 55, works for both.

8 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 12

And in my area, most people go exactly 5 over and will be annoyed if you don't.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

Not really, going 55 will run into the person on the left and will slightly annoy the person on the right.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 3

I always drive the speed limit, and I seem to also always be the slowest motherfucker on the road. Oh well, everyone else can bite me.

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

Good on you!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

So long as your in the right lane on multi lane roads you do you

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Since this is the bitching about traffic section, screw people who don't speed match when getting on a highway. 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I hate trying to merge with traffic doing 65 when some incompetent idiot is fucking everyone behind them by doing 35 at the end of the ramp

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Am I the only asshole who slows down when someone's tailgating me so I can revel in their frustration? I am that petty, yes.

8 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 17

It's not petty, it is safety, coz lower speed means less disastrous consequences in case of accident.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 13

Yes because angry drivers are always safer, and forcing people to weave through traffic is also much safer

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

And tired people. Driving for longer and more slowly than is needed for safety will make people far less engaged.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Why are you only doing 35 in an ice storm?? The speed limit is 55!!

8 years ago | Likes 123 Dislikes 12

What is this ice storm you speak of?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Had one guy crash trying to go around me because the road was pure ice and I was going 20 in a 45. He gassed it and went right into a pole.

8 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

I always try testing the road in a safe place before I drive off

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I remember going 90 kmph in a 90 zone on the 17, it was pouring down heavily and some morons where going over 100.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

60 MILES AN HOUR? IN THE RAIN? WHAT LUNATICS! /s

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

thick layer of water covering the highway. Threat of hydroplaning.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Saw a guy go 70 by us in torrential rain (the kind you have to stop for). Found him in a tree 5 miles down the road.

8 years ago | Likes 54 Dislikes 1

I've never heard of this kinds of rain. Maybe we don't get it here. Once there were cars stopped under overpasses and I went by at 60 on/

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My motorcycle and it was fine. May have been less rain though,

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Good

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

You're laughing but I honestly don't know if he survived the crash.

8 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 1

Well, there are only tree possible outcomes.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He did it to himself. Pretty hard to feel bad for him.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Did you pull aside to Checj on him?

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

Naw I was just a kid at the time and first responders were already on the scene.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ahahaha

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

So there are drivers who don't break the law, and those who do? At least that's how this seems like to me, as a non american.

8 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 11

I ain't speeding~! I'm keeping up with traffic (Or setting the pace.)

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

No we all break the law because going the "speed limit" is going to get you killed from road rage. 5-10 over minimum.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 5

In NJ, if you're doing the speed limit you're getting run over. If you're doing 10+, you're still getting passed.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

Hell, in Utah we regularly do 15 to 20 over, though everyone collectively slows if they see the cherries and berries blinking.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

In FL at least, the law specifically states that "6 MPH or greater is a ticketable offense", meaning most do up to 5 over.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Fun fact this is because a number of years ago a state congressmen got pulled over and ticketed doing 3 mph over. He got that new wording in

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You're expected, as a good driver, do to between 0 and 5 mi/h over the posted limit. This is how I was instructed, by a licensed instructor»

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 4

a) and either current or former cop. In a number of places, traffic may flower faster, 10 or even more above. You're expected to match the

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

b) flow. Becoming a road hazard is never the safer or preferred option.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

what a crock of shit

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

In what sense?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

i don't believe you.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I can drive under if I want to in the right lanes. My truck severely punishes every 5mph increment over 55 in fuel economy.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The argument is against people going slower in right hand lanes, you are good.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

C'est la vie. It's not illegal unless there's a posted minimum. There are a lot of legal ways to inconvenience others, for fun or profit.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I'm barely inconveniencing you if you can go around me.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's rare that I drive on a 2-lane highway where there isn't enough traffic to occupy both lanes. It happens, sometimes. Moreso at night.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Unofficial rule: cops don't ticket if you are doing ~5 over the limit. I've seen stretches of road where cops don't ticket at 15 over. 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

While I find someone doing the speed limit exactly annoying, I'll tolerate it. Then you get jackoffs going UNDER the posted limit when 2/3

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

the flow of traffic is 5 over the limit. It can be maddening. 3/3

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

thats the shit that maddens me, going 35 in a 60. like, go fuck yourself dude

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

My city has an unusual speed limit through most of it... 50 MPH is the posted limit. So many jackoffs do 45 past 2-3+ of those signs. Rage!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Then there the reasonable-yet-law-abiding people, who know how to actually maintain a speed, and go exactly the speed limit.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

we don't talk about those sick perverts.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Cool do so in the right lane and that’s fine.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I will stay in the right lane once every single left-turn lane, left exit, and person-going-15-under-the limit is removed. Untill then, //

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

// I will drive in the left when necessary. I dont go under the limit, but other people's ability to speed is not my concern.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Sure passing and while preparing to turn are totally normal. Getting in the turn lane 5 miles before the turn however is another matter

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And both can coexist with each other IF THE SLOWER TRAFFIC KEEPS TO THE RIGHT.

8 years ago | Likes 1113 Dislikes 26

Germans are so good at this

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Nope, doesn't work. Doesn't matter which lane you are in, entitled people don't want to change their speed and/or behavior.

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

That, and if you change into another lane you match the speed of traffic. If I'm coming up, and I have to hit the brakes because you cut>

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

in front of me at 20 below the speed limit, that's the same as attempting to kill me. Tons of people get into serious accidents from that.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

*goes 55 in the left lane* "This is for your own good".

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yet the ASSHOLES never do! They think it is their right to control it then stay in the fast lane mirroring a slow lane ass.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I can’t stress how accurate this would be like holy shot stay in the right lane!!

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Well going through Idaho, I seen "Through traffic keeps left"; that is anyone NOT stopping in town.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

What if I need to turn left soon

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 6

I want a window sticker on my BMW M3 that says "slower traffic keep right (that's you)" BTW, I use my turn signal!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

Unfortunately it only takes one person refusing to move from the left lane to cause a back up

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Unless you're in the UK.. Then slow traffic in left lane please

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

NO...’MERICA!!!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Or Japan, Australia some islands etc

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What about the roads without multiple lanes? My daily commute to work is a curvy, one lane road and I'm always caught behind slow drivers.

8 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 4

Ram them off the road

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 5

RIP

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

me too and b/c the road is so curvy it's really hard to see if it's safe to pass so you're just stuck in a line of 20 cars going 15 below

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Rather have a 10 minute longer commute than 60 years shorter lifespan.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

me too, I hate passing on a curvy 2 lane but it still infuriates me when assholes drive too slow.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yea I mean it's understandable in some cases. Hovering around 0C, driving 5-15km/h slower than limit is more than fine.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Who always refuse to use turnouts, too.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

CHAAAAAARGE!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Don't speed, problem solved!

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 11

Oh like you’ve never sped

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is true, but if I'm going 80 in a 65 but you wanna go 100, get off my ass and go around

8 years ago | Likes 39 Dislikes 26

No you’re the problem then. Speed limit is irrelevant on the instate pretty much. If someone wants to go fast the move right and let them

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's a passing lane. Yield to passing traffic.

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

In most states you're only supposed to be in the left lane of youre passing. Once you pass move over.

8 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 4

And i will once i've passed every single one of these speed abiding citizens if only dorris would kindly move out the fucking fast lane.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

You're damn right.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

right, because the people who don't give a shit about speed limits surely draw the line at what lane they're supposed to be in..............

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 6

They would if people would move over to the cruising lane.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Passing lane is NOT "the fast lane"... That implies going well over the speed limit is actually legal there...

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 11

I don't get the downvotes for pointing out legal fact. The 'speed limit' is just that: the fastest speed legally permitted on that road.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 4

thank you I got so many downvotes for pointing that out too.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 7

You did not... You're and entitled prick who wants to choose which rules of the road to follow. Passing lane and slower traffic keep right.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 4

And if the people who want to go faster don't tailgate those who are going slower and trying to pass a car.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 3

Yeah, tailgaters are pricks.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Someone going 50 in a 65, in the fast lane, with no car in front, and a car to the right going the same. This person can be tailgated.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 5

Yep I’ll tailgate someone cruising in the left lane going too slow for a few seconds. Usually sends the message telling them to move

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

If they are passing a car, then no. All it does is increase the risk of an accident, make the driver nervous, and make you mad. Just don't.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 4

Except he specifically stated they're going slower in the left lane.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

If they were passing, they'd be going faster. Also going more than 10 below without reason counts as impeding traffic.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Tailgating is dangerous for both drivers, your reaction time is not great enough to avoid collision in case of a sudden brake.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have automatic braking, and since the road was open in front I can see if there's anything that would cause him to brake.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

*adjusts hearing aid, swerves all over leftist lane 30 mph bellow* WHAT? SPEAK UP SONNY, I CANT HEAR YOU WHEN YOU WHISPER

8 years ago | Likes 158 Dislikes 4

This was the best accidental joke I've ever done, thank y'all for making me laugh so hard

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

“WHY YOU STALIN?” - Lenin (yelling at slow Joseph for violating the leftist lane)

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

lol leftist. "those damn socialist lanes!"

8 years ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 0

Everyone travels at an equal speed! Seize the means of propulsion!

8 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

ok everyone drive 70 or 5 over on streets and 10 over on highways. Solved

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

Lol 10 apparently you haven't been to the prairies.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

People thinks it's their responsibility to regulate traffic by going the speed limit in the left lane

8 years ago | Likes 106 Dislikes 6

won’t you get pulled over otherwise?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 6

This. Is. The. Literal. Worst.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I'm going 10-15 MPH over the limit passing those on right still some asshole rides my bumper like he's going run me over like a grease spot

8 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 2

Hop into the right lane for a bit and let him pass. It'll be less dangerous for you and easier for him to get a ticket.

8 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 1

Yup, I call these cars my radar detectors. They find all of the speed traps for me on the New Jersey Turnpike.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

I will when I can but typically it's 4 lanes of cars that don't know what sure/clear distance between vehicles means

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

You should go the speed limit in all lanes...

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 22

you should stay out of the left lane.

8 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 5

The left lane is not for speeding. So I am free to use the lane to drive the speed limit as I see fit. Anyone speeding should lose license.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 20

Objectively speaking, forcing people to pass on the right lane is more dangerous than somebody speeding. I don't speed, but you're not 1/

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Not in many states. Its against the law to impede traffic. Even if you're doing 20 over and the person wants to do 21 over.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

on the other extreme: there are people who think it's their responsibility to tailgate anyone going under 100mph in any lane.

8 years ago | Likes 77 Dislikes 8

They don't do it to get you to move faster... just. Out of the way

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have my back windshield sprayer pointed out to squirt tailgaters. It's the funniest shit.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I like you

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Almost guaranteed to happen when the next exit is the one they are taking.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And they keep tailgating for kms, instead of honking or flashing lights. Tailgating is fucking dangerous as hell.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I flash lights. People slow down rather than pull into left lane. People make me mad.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

meet @idislikecomingupwithuniqueusernames

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They always think "it won't be me, I have excellent reaction speed"

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

related: i had someone tailgate me REALLY closely in the left lane the other night, flashing his lights at me, even though i was already -

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 5

Option: lights have been flashed, horn has been honked at moron doing 20 under. Repeatedly. Then one gives up and passes in the right lane

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

50% of the time moron driver suddenly finds the bloody accelerator when overtaking is engaged, so one has to go 20 over to finish passing

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

See to me that's just car sign language for "I would like you to slow way down." I usually oblige.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 5

Those doing the speed limit are not slower traffic. If you want to break the rules, make sure it affects no one else.

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 28

Effects

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Those doing the speed limit ARE the slower traffic. 55<75. Cant argue that

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

And if you don’t want to break the rules stay right and let everyone else break the rules

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

There are two laws: speed limit, keep left except to pass. You don't get a pass on the second by following the first

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

Idiot left lane monitor found

8 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 3

It doesn't matter what lane your in if you're doing the speed limit if you want to go faster pass on the right and get pulled over. Go ahead

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 30

Found the entitled asshole.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

I don't think I'm entitled to anything I just go the speed limit and no faster.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 7

Legitimately saying you are entitled to be in the passing lane while not passing and making it unsafe for faster traffic to move around you.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There shouldn't be any traffic faster than speed limit. The speeding traffic is what is unsafe.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

That takes way too long

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Cool do so in the right lane and everyone gets along

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

It does matter what lane you're* in. SLOW TRAFFIC KEEP RIGHT

8 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 3

The fucking speed limit is not slow traffic

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 20

Slow traffic is whatever slow traffic is.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 4

Fast and slow are not relative to the speed limit... You could be stopping someone from getting to an emergency room quicker but your an

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

entitled asshole who doesn't actually care about the rules of the road. It's your world, we're just living in it apparently.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Am I the only one who thinks right lane should be speed limit, every lane to left, add 5mph? If your in the US.

8 years ago | Likes 154 Dislikes 41

Yes

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

People are too dumb to understand that.

8 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 5

No. Because no matter how fast you're going, stay out of the left lane unless you're passing.

8 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 5

Fast lane should be for passing, but good luck in city areas

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Other than the far lane for passing, but People here in Wisconsin can't figure out round abouts. Can't imagine math is gonna work out

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nigga left lane is passing lane. Go however fast you want, but if you arent' passing, move the fuck over.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

*you're

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

No no that would make too much sense.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 5

No. And god bless you.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

WRONG. The left lane is NOT the 10-15 over lane. It's the PASSING LANE.

8 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 12

Maybe in your state it is. No such thing here.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 4

Your message is so right but the caps for emphasis is so wrong. didn't down or upvote

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If you think 10-15 over in the left lane is "fast enough" and people can't pass, you are the problem.

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 12

If you think going 15+ mph faster than the rest of the traffic isn't dangerous then you're the problem.

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 5

People who try to enforce their arbitrary idea of what is "fast enough" are called "Parents" in defensive driving and are road hazards

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

That's how it works on the Stevenson (I-55) in Chicago. 55 right, 65 right middle, 75 left middle, gottagofast left

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I wish 10mph to each left lane. I agree with you. Speed limits here are mind boggling slow.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 4

Until you crash. Even modern cars crumple like aluminum cans at 60 mph

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

+15 if you're in Texas. So flat.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Then you would be speeding which is illegal.

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 27

Innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Maybe but that's not your right to enforce.

How do you know I'm not a cop?

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 4

It’s illegal - even for a cop - to disrupt the flow of traffic. If that flow is 80, it’s 80...

What?!?! Haha if it's 55 and you're going 80, cop is going to stop you even if you're in the flow. Every right to stop unsafe driving.

right lane is go 55, left lane is stay the fuck out this lane no matter how fast youre going unless you are passing someone.

Also: I'm in the left lane doing 10 over. Spot someone coming up fast behind me. Put on my blinker to move. Get whipped around on the right.

it's a shame some people don't understand this

I had just gotten off on a turn, was about to get into right lane but guy was already going past me and beeped. GIVE ME A SECOND DUDE

What if 3 lanes on a highway?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Far left is for passing only middle lane is cruising far right is entering/exiting traffic. It is that simple.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I agree. I find it extremely frustrating when people try to cruise in the far right lane and don’t allow other traffic to enter.

They even actively block people sometimes.

Sometimes I plan to pass the entire length of the road, but I move over if someone catches me. Less lane changes that way.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 6

If I see someone coming up behind me at high speed I will move out of the left lane to let them pass, or speed up let em try to catch me.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Always stay right. Even if you are changing lanes often. It helps keep your awareness up, and helps avoid super speeders from hitting you

Also - cops will look at the people in the left lane first, so in the grand scheme of things, you are always safer in the right lane.

That’s simply not feasible in the Baltwash area.

Okay you downvote me but there are waaay too many times when both sides are filled.

Lol I'm not the only one looking at comments... I only down vote selfies bud. You take this way too seriously if you think votes matter much
