That gif of Ewan McGregor is glorious.

He just looks soooo happy! :D

12 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

this is too accurate to believe....

12 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

"this is too accurate, i can't believe it." really? lol

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I didn't downvote you....+1

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Being a front desk violinist, nothing has ever been more correct.

12 years ago | Likes 67 Dislikes 0

I concur. We can't be less than perfect.

12 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Explain me this: why are there different desk violins but not other instruments

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

(1) In fact there are. You could see a "desk" as the music stand each pair of musicians read from. String players call it a desk

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

(3) It all depends on the orchestra in question however. At least, that's what I've found to be the case.

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

(2)more often than non-strings because there are generally far more of them and this makes identifying individual players easier.

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is ridiculously accurate.

12 years ago | Likes 466 Dislikes 1

Horn player here, can confirm we are all George Takei.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is ridiculously sausage to me

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As a second violinist, YUP. That's me. Hiding in the back. Hoping no one can hear me.

12 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

It's been 7 years, I hope you feel better now

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As a violist, I want people to hear me :(

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As someone who plays contrabass clarinet im losing my shit

12 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 2

ANOTHER CONTRA PLAYER?!?! I'M SO EXCITED! I LOVE my ContraBEAST! We named her Odina (Odin-uh). We wanted to make her a female Odin. XD

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

CONTRA PLAYERS?!?!?! I want one so bad! I have a bass clarinet and I love it :)

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm primarily a bass clarinet player! :D Her name is Thora, sticking with making Norse Gods feminine. haha. LOW REEDS ARE THE BEST!

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

FUCK YEAH!

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

As a percussionist, yes, yes exactly. The flutes made me laugh.

12 years ago | Likes 164 Dislikes 1

As a percussionist, yes... weed!

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Percussion awww yissssss. The timpani part though..

12 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Tuning the timpani though.. in the middle of a song. Ick

12 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Just gotta be able to tune by ear, also if you don't have sucky timpani (like me) it's a little easier

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As a fellow percussionist, I wish I could have taken a picture of some of the faces we made at each other while the band was playing.

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

hey, my username is relevant. But yeah. Hey other percussionists! ;)

12 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

YO!

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

HAI!!

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I don't play any of these instruments and I found this hilarious!

12 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

As a horn player, Oh My..... Wonderful. This whole thing is perfection.

12 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

I've been playing horn for 5 years now! I'm so happy I'm not alone :3

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I also play horn! *high five*

12 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

"Another solo? You shouldn't have..." :D

12 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

As a Bassist...whatever.

12 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

I find this pretty relate-able.

12 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Bassoonist here. Bassoon's are classy mother fuckers.

12 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Yaaa Bassoonist's!! <3 <3

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As a former Trombone player, Yep, though yeah this was back in middle school

12 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Is mayonnaise an instrument ?

12 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

As a 1st violin, what else would I be.

12 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

as a trombone, I agree.

12 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

As a trumpet, this could not be more accurate.

12 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

As a trumpet, I also concur.

12 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I play the cello; not sure what your gif means about me.

12 years ago | Likes 75 Dislikes 1

I didn't get it either...

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Yay cello! :D

12 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Cellos FTW! :D

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

that's my favorite instrument ever. I love the sound. It makes me feel all warm and vulnerable. I want to play.

12 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I dated a cellist for 3 years. You are all automatically hot if you squeeze a big lump of wood with your legs 8 hours a day.

12 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Clever :P

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well, lets be honest... the cello is the best string instrument. Biggest range, hardest to make sound like cat death, and it's so purdy.

12 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

YES!! That is half the reason I play, not sounding like cat death!

12 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I think the girl looks nice, and I also like Cellos ...so I'm okay with it

12 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

it's Marina and the Diamonds, she has a song called Prima Donna.

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I played the cello in an orchestra for 6 years, and I don't know why, but this gif looks absolutely perfect to me.

12 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

As a cellist, it means cellists are super fucking rad. I may have made that up.

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I am as well a cellist, I interpret it as we think we are the shit, which is pretty much truth

12 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 1

Yeah, we are the shit!

12 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I like to think all cellists are like this: http://imgur.com/r/ladyboners/Ntm3O3h

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

As a cellist, hell yes :)

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As a flute player, this is accurate. You must be pretty and fancy to join our pretty and fancy club. We don't just take in any riff raff.

12 years ago | Likes 749 Dislikes 5

As a woman who plays tenor saxophone, screw you.

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As a man who plays flute and tenor sax, yes please.

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I know a guy who played the flute, but eventually he was bullied so hard he turned to the trombone. :( / +1 for you

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

i concur

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

In school i was put into a jazz band with a smoking hot, sassy female jazz-flautist. I completely believe you.

12 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

As a previous principal chair of my county's honor band, high school band, and hometown college's orchestra, DAMN RIGHT

12 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Woot! Flutes!

12 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

So does that mean you won't let in any riff raff street rats?

12 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I don't buy that.

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

As a fellow flautist, um duuuh!

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

When I was in school, I maintained first chair playing flute... and I had my own badass piccolo solos for the recitals. Fancy.

12 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

My band did. The first flutes, including myself (first chair, bitches!) were fancy, but seconds...ugh!

12 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

First Chair flautist. You are indeed correct, save the riff raff for the trumpets and percussion.

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

And if you're Asian, you get a VIP ticket to first chair. (As an Asian, I sometimes feel cloned going into any major music competition.)

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

But that almost only fits for 1st flute. 2nd might join the party, but 3rd? They're overjoyed if they may stand outside the party place..

12 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

You either quit flute and become a clarinet player, or live long enough to see yourself become first chair.

12 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

I did the opposite

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What about this Riff Raff? http://www.xxlmag.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/RiffRaff620-x-400.jpg

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hahaha YES!

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I didn't wanna join, but my mom made me choose flute over drums, sax, or trumpet. Still bummed about that. :(

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I play Irish, wooden flute - I think pretty and fancy disqualifies you from our club!

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

As an Irish-American classical flutist; I wanna be like you.

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's 100% correct. From one fabulous flute player to another.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I MADE IT, YES!

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I was a flautist. First chair, even.

12 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 1

...I wasn't pretty or fancy, though.

12 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

but were you reasonably fancy? As in, you know... pretty fancy?

12 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 5

Same here. I was first chair for three years in high school. Most definitely not pretty or fancy. Unless pajama pants are suddenly fancy.

12 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

they are

12 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I always upvote double bass

12 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

As a tuba player, I agree. The one time I played in a band with another tuba, he was a guy who was kicked out (1/2)

12 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

AH Love tubachristmas, haven't been there in a few years though :( I think we are lonely because we don't get any good parts in orchestra

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Of his old school for threatening to knife someone. (2/2)

12 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

I kept scrolling and hoped the trumpet would be dead on. Was not disappointed.

12 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Fuck yeah, I´m Bill Murray!!!

12 years ago | Likes 39 Dislikes 0

ME TOO! :D

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Me too!

12 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I've played the bassoon for some time when I was a child, and I didn't think a stereotype was possible about it, or that I would (1)

12 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

(2) have been able to feel it, but OP FUCKING NAILED IT

12 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Oh, we are but stereotypes.

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Ay, ay, ay, ay! +1 for username. The most famous song that nobody knows the title!

12 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It's also the name of a mexican food franchise. best I ever tried

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Me too, and scar. I played both :)

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I WAS SO EXCITED JUST TO SEE BASSOON!

12 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

You do indeed have a superb username!

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah! And by the way, I love your username!

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Lost it at trumpets. Almost died at trombones.

12 years ago | Likes 454 Dislikes 3

Me too, but mostly because trombone is a funny word. Haha, trom-BONE, amiright? Ha ha. Ahhhh.

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

As a trumpet player, +1. We are a big deal.

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I was also a Trombone player I was in the jazz band back in my day.

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I used to play trombone and that is so me

12 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

The timpani one got me good.

12 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

As a trombonist, yes. So much yes.

12 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Oh fuck..all so bloody true...switched from Trombone to Trumpet years ago...whole different social crowd to grow into...

12 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Well, as a trumpet player myself, yes, we are kind of a big deal. We have to make sure we are louder than the entire band.

12 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

Still remember there being one trumpet, and still louder than the rest of the band. Don't remember why I wasn't there. It was covered though

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As another trumpet player... I'm kind of a big deal... My apartment smells of rich mahogany.

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

you guys always tried but then the trombones would then get bored and just blare out. we had fun

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The trumpets are so spot-on. They march to their own beat, do their own thing, sneak off with flutes and sometimes play tambourine.

12 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 0

As a former trumpet player: "Nigga I do what I want!"

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As a trumpet player: Conductor:"Trumpets only mezzo-forte please" Trumpet players:"Bitch, Im already playing pianissimo!"

12 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

"Trumpets, play louder!" "So play normal?" "YES"

12 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

As a former trumpet player, the bassoons were far more fun to sneak off with :)

12 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I preferred the clarinets sax players ;)

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

*and

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As a female trumpet player, the drumline was more my taste ;)

12 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

How cool! I was a female trumpet player too. Girl trumpets unite!

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Trumpets represent!!!!

12 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Another trombonist here. Basically, in my experience, we just hate string instruments. And dislike trumpets. And other winds. Horns are ok.

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Don't forget the conductor~!

12 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Is that chiaki?!

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Give a man an instrument. If he can't play that, put him on percussion. If he can't do that, take away a stick and make him a conductor.

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

This isn't the most universal of humor, I'm afraid to admit.

12 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 4

4,834 people seem to disagree

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

But for those of us who understand, it's hilarious.

12 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

Neither is Breaking Bad or Game of Thrones.

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As a saxophonist, I feel excluded :(

12 years ago | Likes 151 Dislikes 2

Saxophonist here too! I was looking forward to what I'd find when I scrolled down...all for nothing :(

12 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

Sorry, the standard orchestra repertoire doesn't call for it until around Prokofiev-Shostakovich-Stravinsky era. Its a pretty new instrument

12 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

We always are. I'm pretty sure they're all just jealous of our natural charm and charisma ;)

12 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

I played sax in my high school orchestra. I just transposed the second bassoon part.

12 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

As a baritone player, I wish someone would make a marching band version!

12 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Off you go! :P

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

pretty much any song that has sax in it is automatically awesome.

12 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Saxophonist party all up in here!

12 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

But, jazz though.

12 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

As a fellow saxophonist, we'll just start our own symphony with black jack and hookers!

12 years ago | Likes 72 Dislikes 0

Yay blackjack and hookers!

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In fact, forget the strings!

12 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

And the brass section!

12 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

As a fellow saxophonist, why aren't we funding this?

12 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

that's called a Big Band...

12 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Ahhhh, forget the symphony and the blackjack!

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I like your style...

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

In our orchestra we're the naughty, funny, intelligent, daring, cheeky, sexy ones - and we make the best sounds! ;-)

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

saxophonists UNITE

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

As a fellow saxophonist, I've been masquerading as a horn for a while now. So that gif is pretty accurate!

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I feel the same way and I'm a piccolo :c

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Me too :(

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

i know how you feel...

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

i know how you feel :(

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have played in many orchestras and never once seen a saxophonist

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If you don't play in orchestras that perform pieces from the past century, you never will.

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sorry, saxophones have no place in an orchestra. You're living in denial my friend.

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Screw 'em, do it all yourselves. http://mal-2.bandcamp.com/album/pictures-at-an-exhibition-sextet -- message me if you want the arrangement.

As a fellow Sarah that plays tenor sax, yes to everything you said. Naturally saxy, and have the most gorgeous range!

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Always practice safe sax!

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As a trumpet player, OP nailed our gif!

12 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

As a trumpet player as well, we're kind of a big deal I say

12 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

*I'm* a big deal. No "we". ;)

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

you're right I am kind of a big deal, my mistake ;)

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As another trumpet player, I can, in fact, confirm that we are indeed a big deal.

12 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Let's hear it for the bassists! ...no? none? Oh well... *curls up behind Double Bass*

12 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

i know right? everyone know's we don't eat stuff like that i.e. my comment i made

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

The bass makes a pretty good visual barrier. Like, you can totally hide behind it and no one will notice you. Well No one ever does anyways.

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

ME ME ME! I don't get our gif though.

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We're always out to lunch(?)

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Basses, woo!

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm here too!

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As a clarinet, I fully agree.

12 years ago | Likes 1047 Dislikes 2

Also, I'd be happy to wet your reed anytime......I'll leave now

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm here as bassist. I'm here just to eat.

12 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

As a clarinet, I'VE FINALLY FOUND ONE OF MY OWN.

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My thoughts exactly.

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That clarinets one was the best gif. Also I play clarinet but I feel like that's unrelated.

12 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Me too.

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Clarinets for the win!

12 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

as a clarinet. do you give no fucks?

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As a former clarinet player... Yes, yes indeed.

12 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

"Whoops, that was supposed to be sharp!" Just keep going, lol

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

may I... may I blow you?

12 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

smooth

12 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

As another clarinetist, I also agree.

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Me too! Me too!!

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Was gonna post this but you beat me to it!! Go clarinets!!! This is so true

12 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

As a fellow clarinetist, I'm also inclined to agree.

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Hear hear!

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As a Bass Clarinet, I agree with Tuba and Other Violins

12 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

As a clarinet, I am inclined to agree with you too

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As both timpani and "other percussion" I can confirm this as well.

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Right?!

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

i laughed so hard at that one and im like yes...this is me.

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

And here, you'll see the wild clarinets huddling together for protection.

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Me too :)

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yep, It's true.

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

hahaha I scrolled down and I was like okay, yeah makes sense ... clarinet .. HAHAHA yes this is me!

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I feel like an outsider as a bass clarinet...

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Never! If you work for it, you can outplay all those suckers. Did it once and blew the bass section's minds. you have awesome potential.

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thanks for the vote of confidence. However, I meant in this thread. Haven't actually played since HS...

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

You are a clarinet? How do you type?

12 years ago | Likes 56 Dislikes 0

A clarinet named Wombat...huh.

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Don't judge him. Just be yourself clarinet, we love you just the way you are!

12 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

With their oboes.

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Most accurate clarinet personality gif ever

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm really confused as to why this is the top comment...

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Who else here plays clarinet?

12 years ago | Likes 60 Dislikes 1

Me. I can totally relate to this.

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Me!

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I DO

12 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Meeeee!

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I play clarinet!

12 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

i do, and that is absolutely correct.

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

High five! Whovian clarinetists unite! :D

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Bass Clarinet count for anything?

12 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

NO

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I can't agree more as a clarinetist, this is a perfect description!

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I giggled and stomped my feet with glee when I saw the clarinet gif, for I also play clarinet.

12 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

*Raises Hand*

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I do!!

12 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

yup!

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I do as well. That was totally me when I used to have fun playing it.

12 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I used to, in school. I want to get back into it, but I know I don't have enough self-discipline to practice on my own.

12 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I do! I do! I do!

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I do, and yes, this is accurate!

12 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Yooooooo. And by that I mean me.

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Me! The gif is so accurate, we have so much fun in the orchestra I'm in.

12 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

MEEEEEEEE!!!! Yeah this is totally accurate. X3

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I do, this is 100% legit.

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I do! Wooo! Clarinets! :D

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I did, no longer though D:

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah clarinets!

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I used to, and I still have my clarinet but I only try to play it when I'm really drunk.

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I used to, though I've not touched it for years.

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I played it all through Jr High and High school! I miss band :(

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I do, not so much anymore though since the accident...

12 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I do. Did. Probably still could if I put my mind to it. And felt like sacrificing my lips to reed burn again. Yayyyy.

Is clarinet easy to learn? I'm contemplating on buying one. (All I could play is a violin... and some beatbox)

If you can develop the callouses on your fingers to play a string instrument, you can endure the development of "chops".

Which is to say your mouth muscles get a bit sore while learning to play any woodwind instrument.

I think clarinet is relatively easy to play (I can't buzz at all). The fingerings for notes mostly go in order, you can do it!

You have to bite down on the mouth piece and it vibrates against your teeth and you will suck until your mouth muscles develop.

But aside from that, I found it relatively easy to pick up as someone who only played piano previously.

Ah. Sounds... intriguing. But seriously thanks for the insight. I do enjoy the sight of clarinet/piccolo playing, so I'll try learning it...

I only played it for 3 years because I just couldn't get past the teeth thing.

This is a pet peeve of mine: clarinet and piccolo are different instruments, piccolo is a smaller flute (or a green skinned alien). Both 1
