89's baby here. I'm demisexual and have had zero celebrity crushes and I had no idea what people meant when they said they had them

I deeply love the full throated, unhesitating confidence she delivered, "Rachel Weisz in The Mummy." We all knew.

Straight dude, and we had a discussion on this. There are just people out there who just transcend everyones sexuality. Rachel is definitley one of them, and I would say Brenden is too and with both of them on one screen. No one stood a chance....no one.

I already knew I was bi when I saw The Mummy, but it definitely confirmed it for me.

She coming back for Mummy 4, releasing 2028.

I'm not gay but there are some handsome dudes out there and I sometimes think: "Ya know, if I was gay I could see me and him hook...". And then I shake my head and tell myself that I am straight, always have been and pretty sure I always will be. "But if I was gay....". The human mind is so strange sometimes.

Oh honey. Don’t let your labels define you. You like what you like, you feel how you feel. Labels are only useful for describing those feelings to other people. What if you allowed yourself to explore those feelings, without judgement or stopping because of what it might mean for your labels? <3

Tia Carrere was the museum who inspired my first boxer and my realization that I was into women.

4 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It’s not just the ladies, that movie may have been a coming out phase for a lot of people.

I just wish everyone could accept aloud and without damage to their ego that it's not just okay but normal to see people of the same gender as attractive. We all compare. Doesn't mean you're going to act on it, and certainly doesn't cancel out who you think you are. Every time I've been hit on by a man I think "A compliment's a compliment." It should make you feel good.

Yeah it was certainly not the Lucy Liu efficiency expert office scene that awakened things for me…

Nope, definitely not that. Especially not that actually.

That was the next signpost along a road Stephanie Seymour started me down. It has lead me to nothing but ruin; I regret none of it.

I know I’m not the intended audience for posts like this, so I kinda feel like a voyeuristic imposter.

However, I am super happy to be here with the intended audience, knowing it makes them happy and they’re cool people.

I' m lost and confused by your statement, these "Lesbians" are sharing what their "awakenings" were. 50% of the population is going to like their statements because they literally like everything sexually, 15% of the population is going to like their statements because it's relatable and inspiring half those people are still creeping it because it's about hotness. 17.5% enjoys this feeling like voyeurs mostly because scissor videos never seem real.

I dunno. I know I could have minded my own business and just stayed quiet, but I wanted to say thank you to @Dropdrop and the community for being awesome. No more, no less.

Just want to say, as a guy, that Rachel Weiss in The Mummy was also when I knew I was lesbian.

Not a lesbo but I remember seeing the Mummy in theater as a little girl and I absolutely ADORED Rachel's aesthetics and look in that movie. She was breathtaking!

My love, do yourself a favor and google “the lesbian masterdoc”. It’s a google doc, and a pretty quick read <3

as a fully straight male i can safely and confidently say that the entire cast can turn anyone gay. some even got more handsome like oded fehr who got the george clooney gene of aging like fine wine.

4 days ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

My love, people don’t “turn gay”, queerness is always inside, and people can choose to ignore it or embrace it. Perhaps the word “straight” doesn’t mean what you think it means?

Drew Barrymore on David Letterman (IYKYK) but I had a crush on her from the age of 4 after watching ET I just didn’t understand what I was feeling at that tender age. It wasn’t sexual but just a desire to know and love her or someone like her. Didn’t feel that again until my best friend in first grade. But I had no idea what it really was until I was grown and looked back. Heteronormativity was pushed so hard on me and all little girls back then with our enforced “boyfriends” and shit.

I'm not trying to question anyone's sexuality, but talking about be attracted to everyone in The Mummy doesn't make you anything. Literally everyone wants to fuck 90% of that cast.

4 days ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Oh honey…. No. It’s fine if you haven’t always known.

3 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

4 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Well, The Mummy makes men and women confused. They are very attractive and demand your attention.

4 days ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I love how the second woman starts answering before the question is even finished. No hesitation, no thinking about it necessary

Nope. Patricia Velásquez in The Mummy.

Never seen “The Munmy” : v

4 days ago | Likes 211 Dislikes 1

I too have never seen The Mummy, but I am no stranger to Rachel Weisz (see Enemy At The Gate, specifically the sex scene with Jude Law where they are on the ground surrounded by dead bodies of fallen soldiers.)

4 days ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

One of the two scenes I remember from EATG

4 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wow don’t call me out like that so unexpectedly lol. I’ve sen both movies. I didn’t know the actress was in both, and I’d forgotten of that scene and …..

Surrounded by SLEEPING soldiers.

4 days ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

They were fallen...they fell into their sleeping bags from exhaustion.

4 days ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

That was kind of an important plot point because they had no privacy and they had to be extremely quiet so that the soldiers wouldn't wake up or notice them

4 days ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Unbelievable, such people deserve to be locked in a room, on a nice sofa with pop-corn, and forced to watch The Mummy (1999)

4 days ago | Likes 46 Dislikes 0

I, gasp, haven't actually seen the movie. I've seen bits and pieces, but anyways. Not to promote here, but this is the site I usually use to see where I can stream a title. So, yeah, guess I have some homework to do as well. https://www.justwatch.com/us/movie/the-mummy-1999

4 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I've never seen The Mummy. I'm 42. And yes I'm ashamed of it. If they ever re-release it, I'll go see it for sure. But yeah.

4 days ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

if you have an Alamo Drafthouse near you, they might show it at some point. The one near me shows it and The Mummy Returns every year around the anniversary of the original release, I think.

4 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I am 45, never seen it. It looks dull, like not serious and not fun.

4 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 10

You think a movie so widely beloved would be dull? Perhaps not to your taste, but DULL?

4 days ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

They did re-release it. I saw it in the theater two years ago.

4 days ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Fuck how'd I miss that

4 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The show is Pretty Gay, available through Patreon. Produced by Sam Reich & Elaine Carroll (among others i suspect)

Yup, see a lot of dropout cast as result on the show, the host is an adorable cinnamon roll, and given with its connection to Dropout folks and it's steadily growing following won't surprise me to see it on Dropout one day.

that's just the meme, they're just repeating the meme

4 days ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 2

Yes, that's the joke. Also my queer friends have been saying that joke since opening night of the Mummy in 1999...

4 days ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

My love, perhaps the word “straight” doesn’t mean what you think it means? It’s totally fine if you haven’t always known <3

3 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I made the comment as a joke, but I also believe that nobody is 100% straight. It's more like a continuum.

3 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Totally. Be who you are, love and live freely. Labels are for other people. By that I mean: you like what you like, and feel how you feel, your label doesn’t determine that. Labels are only useful as a shorthand for communicating what you like and how you feel to other people. :)
