This is the asian lockpicking lawyer, and here I will show you how to break out of prison...

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

He's in jail because he won't wear his mask over his nose

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Pretty easy to break with pretty much anything kinda hard, fits through the hole, and long enough to get some leverage…

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Ahaaaaha, that's really good Jim, still executing you tomorrow though.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Pride of Georgia- must be a grad student

Great, now nobody in prison can wear a belt.

Go Bulldogs!

Lockpicking Lawyer face reveal!

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Go dawgs

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

"Georgia Bulldogs" on his shirt, no less. Yeah, that tracks...

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

you KNOW it's fake by how SLOW they linger and delay! this wouldn't work anyway

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Locksmiths hate him because of this one simple trick !

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And this my friends is why we have the Fifth Amendment

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Check the relationship between the prisoner and the guy who chose that lock

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Stop buying Master Locks. They're as secure as using a shoelace.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don’t think he’s a real Bulldogs fan.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Anyone else notice that these cells are individually locked? Wonder what the news headlines will be if there's a fire.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Probably none as it's in a country with horrible prison conditions anyway and we only hear about how bad it is if a tourist gets put in...

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Although America is on that list now, so...

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Apparently he wasn't in for littering.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Because then they would have taken his wallet AND his belt.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Don't they confiscate the suspects' belt?

4 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

For demonstration purposes, it’s easier to just use a belt than actually tear a strip off a shirt.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes and shoe laces. Source: Was in county jail in the 90's, we had to layer and twist toilet paper to tie and keep our Jnco's held up

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As my grandfather used to say "a padlocks only use is to preserve the honesty of honest men"

4 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 2

The version I heard: "A Locked door only keeps an honest man out"

4 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

A padlock literally just exists so somebody will steal something else that's easier to open.

4 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I've heard shit like that before. "Honest men" don't need their honesty preserved. A padlocks only use is to slow dishonest men down.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It's mostly a matter of convenience. Most potential thieves aren't going to bother if presented with the mildest obstacle.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

To convince dishonest men to pick an easier target*

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But... Why show the guards?

4 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

Because when your job is to review and improve prison security, that’s kinda expected.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

To avoid being beaten and starved ...as much

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

That's exactly what I thought too.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My guess is he broke one, got caught, and they said “we won’t punish you as bad if you show us how you did it.” When they threw him back in.

4 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Aaaand the other inmates also beat him.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He learned that at the University of Georgia.

4 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

I don't know why, but I always imagined the LPL differently.

4 years ago | Likes 92 Dislikes 0

He does have a video about this using wrenches. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dBSSA5ot0tA

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That is his brother, the Lockpicking Prisoner.

4 years ago | Likes 48 Dislikes 0

He's not as good as his brother... hence the name.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He's just providing counsel then leaves when he wishes

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I don't think that's the belt him and Bosnian Bill made.

This must be the gif that made Bosnian Bill retire.

I love his videos but I’ve never seen this one

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

His April's Fools videos are always choke full of innuendos/ double entendre. Great stuff.

Oh my sides ? - how have I never come across this before

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It’s so disappointing he is a Ben Shapiro fan

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 4

He's a very clever guy, I love that he had a good mix of serious videos and dry wit comedy ones.

4 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

I thought he did only the one joke per year on April fools

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

He does a lot of dry sardony as well, like when people send him challenges and so on.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think he did a valentines day one loads of innuendo on that day.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I get it.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I did not see that coming

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Good reason why physical access to the locking mechanism shouldn't be possible from the inside of the cell.

4 years ago | Likes 491 Dislikes 3

I would think this a no brained, but clearly not

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Agreed, though I think the deterrence is less the lock and more the 49 other locks he would have to pick without being seen

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

That's just speculation.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Harry Houdini: "And I Took That Personally"

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Or why they shouldn't keep belts

4 years ago | Likes 80 Dislikes 0

Or keys

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Also so they don't do the thing that Epstein definitely didn't do

4 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

4 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 0

That may be why they give them belts, unfortunately

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

That too, though if properly motivated to escape, it could probably be done with a good pair of pants, maybe even shoe laces.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Underwear too?

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Especially underwear!

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Oh, hi! How's that whole "deleting my account now" thing from 13 hours ago going? :)

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Thats what you get for buying cheap shitty padlocks that can be opened with two paperclips

4 years ago | Likes 811 Dislikes 4

So.... all master locks then

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Most padlocks are like this, even the expensive ones. Check out the Lockpicking Lawyer on YouTube

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I watch him from time to time, he is in his home by his workbench with all the tools he could need. Put him in prison with nothing.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

According to the lock picking lawyer they are almost all cheap and shitty

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Although I do think more highly of the UGA educational experience now…

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Almost all padlocks can be opened with lockpicks. Warded locks are closest to unpickable (still possible, but horrible to do). >>

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Warded locks are VERY easy to pick. Disk Tumbler (like Abloy) are tricky, maybe you've confused the two?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Lock Picking Lawyer opens up ALL the locks. Cheap, expensive, doesn't matter

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Check the bowley lock. Him and Bosnian Bill couldn't get past it.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I watch him from time to time, he is in his home by his workbench with all the tools he could need. Put him in prison with nothing.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Not all of them. He has a list of ones he can't open

I mean sure if a person is completely free, but in prison you want one that's very difficult to break with easily acquirable materials.

4 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

Or at the very leas one that can't just be popped open with a bit of force like this one.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Locks are to keep honest people out.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Eh, locks serve as a deterrent. They're not there only to secure. They're there to delay, confuse the stupid, and make noise breaking in. 1

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

They work very similar to IT security. All those things are true for password grants too.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I guess I should have said the uninformed or those lacking specialized knowledge rather than "the stupid". Bit unfair.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah and it is by design. Unbreakable lock is security risk by itself. You lose your key/password and suddenly you can't access what's in.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Lots and lots of prisoners would disagree.

4 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Well, if all the guards took a long weekend at once, I suspect they wouldn't like the head count when they got back.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

9/10 Prisoners recommended this lock. On an unrelated note 1/10 Prisoners are on the pay roll. /s

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

This is true in the wild, because it assumes they have the freedom to gain the information and tools needed. Prison conditions are a little

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Different, but are still bolstered by the monitoring and guard presence, rather than just the locks.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Watch The Lock picking lawyer and you will realize that’s more locks than you’d feel comfortable with.

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I watch him from time to time, he is in his home by his workbench with all the tools he could need. Put him in prison with nothing.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Last I heard, he's a member of TOOOL, which some of their lectures teach you how to make improvised picks. Doesn't take much.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hi, its me LPL and today we are going to pick the lock at guantanamo ba....ghrblll bblrrlv! Oh god stop drowning m bvblbbb.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Nono they all have fun in Gitmo club, all the most fun activities

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Have you ever seen LPL? Even a deadbolt could be picked, potentially. It's more the other 49 he has to pick without being seen that deters

4 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 1

deadbolts can easily be picked. I pick the one for my apartments laundry room because they sometimes lock my clothes in, then I re-lock it

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yea, but its a bit more difficult when you have to reach around bars to try and reach the lock only to find its on a weird angle, cuz bars

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm pretty sure prisons would normally ensure prisoners don't have the tool Bosnian Bill and LPL made.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

The tool is handy, but at the end of the day it's just lever operated picks built into a tensioning tool, right?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's why I have six locks on my door, but only three are ever locked. As LPL goes down the list, he's locking half of them as he goes! Ha!

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Thats incredibly clever

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

If the picker knows which direction to turn each one, they won't lock any accidentally.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Except you have to turn counter clockwise to lock. I would expect even someone using a key would know the difference

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

When in doubt, buy Abloy, can't go wrong with them

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I have one of the newer ones on my front door, haven't tried picking it. The word on the street is that the older ones are pretty pickable.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

...Not that I pick locks as a hobby or know very many criminals, word of mouth by friend who does know some.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Is it a schlage keyway or a more paracentric european keyway?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Overall totally different design, uses disc tumbler

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oldest Abloy model, which is over century old, is "pretty pickable": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DEBswObFQfM

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Basically even this is pick resistant enough for your home, though these are for garden sheds. The newest protec 2 is unpickable so far

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I actually have one of those, too. Only used to protect my bicycle, and you'd need to pick the front door of the rowhouse "warehouse" too.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

At least no one has provided proper proof that they are able to pick the protec 2, only shady youtube videos

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Padlocks are only there to keep honest people from stealing.

4 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 4

Europeans carry ID cards so that innocent people can be properly identified.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

There some padlock that even dishonest people will have hard time with tools, inmate with a strap wouldn't be able to crack it

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Abloy PL362. Shakle pull 100 kN, twist 2500 Nm and 20000 differs. Good luck with that.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

$350 invincible padlock gaht DAMN!

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is the LockpickingLawyer and today I have for you the Abloy PL362...
