Together, we can petition President Trump to veto S.J.Res.34. A bill that will allow ISPs to sell our internet data (location, history, financial, and etc).

We can stop this using the most effective method possible outlined below.

1. Contact President Trump via the following methods (Use all of them):

a. https://www.whitehouse.gov/contact
1. Message Type: Contact the President
2. What would you like to say?:

President Donald J. Trump, I urge you to veto S.J.Res.34, a bill that will allow ISPs to sell our internet data (location, history, financial, and etc) without our permission.

Sincerely,
[Full Name]
[Citizen/Resident] of the United States of America

2. Call the President

a. Comments: 202-456-1111
1. Repeat message in "What would you like to say?" and replace "Sincerely" with "Thank you very much" and forego the end identifier.

3. Write a letter to the President

Here are a few simple things you can do to make sure your message gets to the White House as quickly as possible.

If you write a letter, please consider typing it on an 8 1/2 by 11 inch sheet of paper. If you hand-write your letter, please consider using pen and writing as neatly as possible.

Please include your return address on your letter as well as your envelope. If you have an email address, please consider including that as well.

And finally, be sure to include the full address of the White House to make sure your message gets to us as quickly and directly as possible:

The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW
Washington, DC 20500"

Hahahahahahahahahaha. Oh you're serious

From an outsider's point of view you guys should really be more interested in him destroying the whole planet than targeted marketing.

If you think Trump is on your side, you haven't been paying attention.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Bless your heart, OP.

Done! Thank u

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I think you have mistaken us for having a President who gives a shit.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If you think Trump gives two shits about anything anyone thinks. You're as dumb as the people that voted for him in the first place.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

At this rate you are going to need another boston tea party

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

"I like Trump because nobody owns him"

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Too late... All the hackers already have all my personal information from all the data breaches at various companies.

Dear dickless oompa loompa ..stop being a fucking retard. -sincerely your mom .....is that good enough?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You left out the most effective methods to reach him: 1) Fox and Friends and 2) Twitter.

You deserve way more Upvotes. +1

I doubt he's gonna veto it but I'd love to be wrong on this one.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Lol Trump going against corporate interests? yall cute as fuck.

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 3

Republicans*

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 4

As worthy as this is... Let's be sane. That fucking fucktard ain't going to veto that! He literally only cares about himself and money.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

You forgot Putin.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yea, I did. My bad!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Do you think Trump gives a fuck about you?

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

No, but we sure as hell won't give up without a fight.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Protip: Be a billionaire, otherwise HE DON'T GIVE A FUCK ABOUT YOU OR YOUR RIGHTS.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Let's see, all but 5 republicans voted for this to pass, do you really think he's going to?

9 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 5

actually all but 15.

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Because they knew their votes wouldn't be needed, just in swing states and didn't have to vote for it.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 4

He'll never veto it. But if you want to even the odds, make sure your message says "Obama would have signed it."

9 years ago | Likes 37 Dislikes 3

like he will ever listen to his constituents

9 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 9

Never give up hope. Always push!

9 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Yeah it's not gonna work. Trump might be the cause of the revolution we kinda need so maybe work on that instead.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 4

If at first you don't succeed, try and try again. If you still don't succeed, give up. There's no sense being a damn fool about it.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 7

As if Donald ever gave a fuck what US citizens want.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

Republicans*

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

Wonder, who was downvoting you. Republican voters? As a non-US person, republicans have never been created to act in interest of normal ppl.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Google and facebook got everyone to hand over their privacy anyway.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

Everything the right claims to stand for go out the f'n window when republicans are violating it. Privacy? yeah, we don't care anymore.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

See, but that's how you pay them. I pay my ISP a fucking hundred dollars a month for the privilege of having them fuck me over. 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Google provides me a service for "free". I pay for it with advertising potential and that's fine. They also have far less information. 2/2

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes, but that was consented via electronic agreement. Accepted legality. This could be seen as an encroachment on the 9th amendment.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Oh i know it is different, but people really have no idea what they willingly hand over to Google and facebook.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not to mention it puts personal data and electronic accounts at risk and lowers the digital security of the nation.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No because you agreed to the a TOS agreement with your ISP. Just like with Google and facebook.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The probability of Trump vetoing this even with letter writing is right up there with the probability of me shitting a live Wooly Mammoth.

9 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 1

So an everyday occurrence, then.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Trump veto something that fucks normal people over for the benefit of big business? Yeah, okay.

9 years ago | Likes 565 Dislikes 15

Well wouldn't that make trump the good guy "again" a people's president and all. Maybe it's all a elaborate Rep.-Plan to make him look Good!

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

Appeal to his narcissism. Say that these are the same republicans that dropped his health care bill, even though that's inaccurate.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

We'll see how far it gets past him.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nah, you should put that on Fox news. Better chance of him actually paying attention to it.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Why should he when republicans won't.

9 years ago | Likes 49 Dislikes 7

Because they didnt vote for his healthcare bill so it might be payback if he doesnt. He would do something petty like that.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

This is the most hopeful thing about politics right now and that's fucking sad.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You would hope that the fuck looks at his 36% approval and wants to change it, but we all know he's just pretending its fake.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I feel like we should also be mass tweeting at him, he seems to spend a lot of time there

9 years ago | Likes 77 Dislikes 0

How about instead of bitching online. This Trump BS is just beating a dead horse. We get it, you guys elected a fuckhead. Now instead of (1)

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 21

This seems like the best way to go

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

(2) sitting behind your keyboards.. where ironically your comments and profile will soon be public.. go out and do something about it

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 20

Make me, fuckwit.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

There is literally nothing else we can do but waste our lives picketing. What else do you expect?

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I've seen some pretty powerful shit happen in Egypt and Ukraine. Band together as a nation and prove your patriotism

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

My question is where is anonymous in all this? They seem to be all talk, start hacking/leaking congress secrets already

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I wondered that a lot.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Let's see.... the good of the people or profit for his friends. Hmm.

9 years ago | Likes 296 Dislikes 12

If he does it, it will be to punish the Republicans for not passing his "Healthcare" bill.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Republicans sullied his image over Healthcare. Do not underestimate a man's pride...

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Yes, it was their fault...right...poor Trump!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I wonder if he has any friends...

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Most anyone will be a friend for enough money or power. I'd call his "friends" modern Dr. Faustus's, but they lack the brains.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

More like people he owes favors to.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

its funny how everyone on the internet shits on him and now is pleaing to him for his help.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 78

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

Ok... which Trumpkin are you?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

The objective observer

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 4

Fuck that. I'll contact Congress and Senate. Dog shit is more useful than him.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 4

Well it's too bad they caused this.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My state reps are amazing about listening to our wants and needs as a state. I'm confident they will do all they can

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

A little late for that.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Isn't that his job to hear what the people want to do, in the end he is the President of all Americans and he works for Americans.

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

I'm not talking about his job. Im talking about the irony of people who mock him wanting his help now...

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 15

Right, it's the irony that you're enjoying, not your false feeling of superiority. Put your ego aside and tell Trump to veto this bill.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

people mock him because he is a bad leader, this would be his second redeeming act I'd hear from him so far(first one was hindering the TTP)

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Hes been president for 4 months and has by far done more than a majority of presidents in that amount of time

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 5

Well you can criticize your President all you want but he is still your president and he works for the people. Ignoring like 60% of the pop

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Would be wrong.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Yeah, odd how we want him to work FOR the public, it's almost as if we elected him to do just that

9 years ago | Likes 48 Dislikes 1

Oh you voted for him

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 51

We as in the United States elected him

9 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 4

Oh, you voted for him?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 35

This is crucial. I find it unfathomable that this bill passed.

9 years ago | Likes 450 Dislikes 8

really?...with the congress ruled by the right...i am afraid this shit has just begun...

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

* was crucial. Russia gets to buy every dissident's info now. What makes you think he won't sign that?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Just wrote a letter to my district representative (Andy Biggs-AZ), who voted for this. I'll upload his response if I get one

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Seriously? Of everything that's happened this administration. *This* is your breaking point?

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Your surprized a government owned by big business is doing something to favor corporations at the cost of citizens privacy?

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

This is bad but what about the whole climate change thing? The imminent destruction of the planet seems slightly more important...

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

considering the republicans in office.....pretty fathomable.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Why? Your president cares for nothing but his personal wealth and the vast majority of your politicians are bought

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

He won't veto it. Undoing everything Obama did, good or bad, seems to be the GOP's primary goal right now, and they couldn't kill the ACA.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

So they're going for anything else they can.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Everyone was too busy making fun of House Republicans last week to notice.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Elections have consequences. We tried to warn people for the last year that shit like this would happen if we handed over the government (1)

9 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 1

to big business republicans, but no one wanted to listen. There is no way in hell Trump will ever veto this bill. (2)

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

Republicans, in unison: "Well, at least there isn't a woman in the white house!"

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Unfortunately, you're 100% right. The fact that this petition exists shows that people still don't realise how fucked they are!

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Be that as it may, I can't just do nothing when this issue is so important to me.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This petition will do nothing. The time to do something was before trump was elected. Now he's murdering the planet.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Republican and Democrat citizens, Americans, do not want this bill signed into law.

9 years ago | Likes 179 Dislikes 4

Since when does what the people want matter?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

the only "people" that matter are corporations...

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Too bad the citizens have no voice in your government, eh?

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Bullshit. GOPers are the party of stupid. These people believe anything Trump says; if you got other facts, they're "fake" to them. Cult45

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

Maybe people shouldn't have voted republican, then. They're serious about selling us out for sweet sweet cash

9 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 11

We should a voted for neither and put Obama on a month to month till we figured shit out.

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 3

We should have voted 3rd party and had a REAL upset in politics. We could have done it this year, and it would have been better than this.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Shush, you. Republican citizens want whatever Fox tells them to want.

9 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 9

Yes, let's further tribalize our society by pretending all Republicans are the same, unlike us Democrats, who are unique and beyond reproach

9 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 9

Did Democrats vote for this bill?

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

The statement was about citizens, not politicians, was it not?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

None, zero..

All/only the republicans voted for it.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Funny, when I become Congressman my plan is to reverse all business subsidies to their scientific research counterpart.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

For example, instead of subsidies for Solar Power, the money will be redirected to energy research to find new forms of energy and make

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

current forms more efficient.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Is that not what solar subsidies do? Make solar more economically viable to encourage further research and development?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Why? It's just keeping the status quo and and FTC oversight instead of FCC. If we don't like it, we can opt out. Problem solved.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 6

after trying it today with cox, it's pretty well hidden on the site, and the chat assistant had NO CLUE what CPNI even was, and was useless.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

it should be opt-in, not opt-out, they're just counting on no one being able to figure it out. (2)

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes, that is the debate. And that's probably why ISPs lobbied for this, because most likely no one would opt in and see their ads.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes, that's really the only change. The previous rule may have made it more convenient. It's a bit of a pain now, and will be if this passes

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

it's not just "a bit of a pain" they're making it as difficult as possible.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Really? You are surprised a bunch of old dudes don't understand the Internet?

9 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 4

You don't need to understand how to raise sheep to get the concept of fleecing.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Republicans are unbelievable when it comes to making excuses, rationalizing and diverting to defend republican crap.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I'm sure trump watches porn though

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Well soon we can just buy his Internet history so we will know

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

They understand it just fine, just like they understand that climate change is very real. They're not retarded, they're fucking sellouts.

9 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

Or evil

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Right here on Imgur I asked people to explain to me why it's bad. They said "imagine." I'm not sure anyone of any age understand it.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 5

why what is bad? the bill? internet privacy?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yup. The repeal of a regulation that has never taken effect. The system we've had for 20+ years. Why is it suddenly panic-worthy?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

I feel like if you really cared, you'd know. But whereas there were no regulations preventing ISPs from selling our info before /1

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Because things were about to get better, but now they're not? Why does the fact that they hadn't taken effect yet make any difference?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0
