The person I replied to has a reduced sensitivity to red light so they can't see the _extra_ light from a red pointer, but they do sense green light. They didn't say that the professor is also color blind. However, I just read that _blue_ lasers are even better because it covers both type of red-green blindness: http://people.hws.edu/graham/Colorblindness.htm

Indeed. Blue is easy to see among other colors. Playing games like world of tanks with aiming cross in blue instead of red is such an improvement especially against the green background.

I did every sport deemed fit for girls. Cheerleading made my mom the proudest, but I hated it. Did (the wrong)martial arts later against my mom's wishes. I wanted to play guitar too. Apparently, school bands don't need guitarists. Turned out my dad was a 2nd degree blackbelt and freelance guitarist before he died. I never really knew him, was too young, but weird how interests were inherited. Sometimes I wonder where I'd be if he didn't die. I have blackout bingo on this card now instead. *sigh*
