This is lesbian propaganda. Not complaining, just saying what it is.

I’m honestly in season 4 becoming a bigger and bigger fan. It’s a wild ride.

This was filmed in the warehouses oppersite my high school and at the beach I went to. I was lucky enough to see them many times in costume. Lucy once complimented me on a fish I caught!

9 months ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 0

That is such an awesome thing to have happen since fishing is her (and Rob Tapert's) thing. It's why there are so many fishing jokes and why "Rob" is obsessed in the Yes Virginia episode of Hercules.

#1 I must have missed that episode.

Xena killed the devil so Lucifer came down to get Xena to be the Queen of Hell. So they decided to tempt him with all seven sins, that being lust, so Lucifer unwittingly becomes the King of Hell instead.

I've heard it said that neither the actors nor the characters were gay, but they made a lot of the audience realize that they were.

I don't really know, though. I didn't see that much of the show, and I know nothing about the actors' private lives. Either way, they're gay icons and they revel in that fact. So thumbs up for them.

At the time, homosexuality and especially lesbianism was a lot more taboo. As cheesy as this show was, you have to respect it for pushing boundaries.

This needs a reboot so bad! Such an awesome series!

Sometimes I feel like the only person who has never seen a single episode of Xena (or buffy, angel, or supernatural)

If it makes you feel better, I've never seen an episode of the Simpsons

Charmed?

You should watch them!

9 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Buffy and Angel are worth your time.

You can search for a watch order that interlaces the two series where their stories intertwine.

You are not.

Not only have I never watched a single episode of Xena, I also never watched a single episode of The Simpsons or Grey's Anatomy.

I've seen some Xena but never liked it, it was so cheesy and over the top. Haven't watched the other three shows, either, tho I admit I had wished someone had told me when Alyson Hannigan joined Buffy.

9 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Yeah, Xena was painfully cheesy so often. Hercules, too. And Knight Rider. And Brisco County Jr. And Jack of All Trades. And Cleopatra 2525. And V.I.P. And Forever Knight. None of them were good shows. I don't recommend any of them. But I've watched at part of them all.

I've definitely watched too much TV in my life.

9 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Episode 1. She was always there.

9 months ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

If only someone had told me at episode 1, then?

9 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

All the shows by that production company were openly cheesy and rarely took themselves seriously; Hercules, Xena, Jack of All Trades, Cleopatra 2525, etc.

9 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I've never even heard of the last two! I watched a bit of Hercules because at least he wasn't flipping around and stuff all the time, but wow I backed the wrong horse by preferring Sorbo. lol

Is that real? This has to be like 9 different episodes sewn together, right? lmao

9 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

But.... Xena can't fly!?

9 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That’s Lucy Lawless. Common mistake.

9 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You probably should, they are fun shows. And don't take themselves too seriously all the time. Though they do have their moments.

9 months ago | Likes 54 Dislikes 0

Honestly, the genre just never appealed to me. If you could pick one show of those I've listed, which would you recommend most?

9 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Hmm, that's a tough one. Maybe Supernatural simply because it is the most recent one. But like a lot of shows, don't pass judgment on them based just on the first season. As shows like these take a little bit for the actors to find the characters and hit their strides. Still fun watches, but they get a lot better later on.

9 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'll try a few episodes at least and see how I get on, thanks

9 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Sure thing. I will say the acting quality does improve by leaps and bounds from the first few episodes. So judge more by themes and ideas.

9 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Buffy first three seasons then STOP
Then Supernatural first 5 seasons
Firefly - all of it including the original pilot and movie

9 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Firefly I'm well ahead of you lol

9 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Supernatural. I never got in to Buffy and I was a huge Firefly fan (I've been told it's a requisite of o am a Whedon fan). And Xena will not really hold up I think.

9 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

How much Buffy did you try? The first season was very hit or miss as the writers were confused and didn't understand what Whedon was going for. A few episodes into the second season, however, they finally got it and from there on it was pure magic (pun most definitely intended).

9 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Xena is more comedy first than action fantasy. And like all of these shows, it takes more than the first season for them to figure out what the show actually is.

9 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I'm gonna give it a few episodes to see how it goes, thanks

9 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I mean, why, what are you going for here? At best you're going to develop a taste for corny TV, is that desirable?

9 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I enjoyed supernatural, but I think it went on too long. I don't remember how many seasons I was in to it before it started feeling like a chore (I think it was like 8, of 15)

9 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

It was supposed to finish at 5, so anything after that isn't part of the original planning.
