4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I want one... I don't need one, but I want one.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Slower, you slut.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What are your intentions toward my daughter?

There's got to be an easier way to plant trees.

When she says she's never taken one that big.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Spit on it so it goes in easier.

This is a great post.

Really drives it home.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

a little bit forced.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Well that takes the sport out of it.

4 years ago | Likes 50 Dislikes 1

In Germany you could set off a WW2-dud........

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Is it then considered a dud if it goes off when pounded?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah, it didn't go off 75 years ago

Thanks Hando... Good to know I'm not alone.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

lol - in a land with huge amounts of topsoil, and few rocks

4 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I'm from Western Australia, specifically the Perth Hills region, and that post would be splinters. Hard-packed gravel doesn't fuck about!

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I dont wanna oversexualize it, but i wish the guy would moan and scream while doing his job.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Where does the dirt go?!

4 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Gets compacted underneath. Better than setting it in concrete, it doesn't rot the wood as fast. Source - just did this on our 5 acres

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

To Pound Town

4 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

It comes out of the other side of the planet, duh lol

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Yes with money. Thats all it takes

4 years ago | Likes 62 Dislikes 2

Don't forget rock-free soil, can't do this without it

4 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 0

No, you can do it with rocks. Might need to auger a bit first

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Or sharpen the tip of the pile, it all depends on the soils, which is why I usually design for drilling

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Without money it takes more people https://i.imgur.com/eubR0YL

4 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

And a rocking beat

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

We did this on our 5 acres for our camel and lama and also backyard. Cheaper than chainlink

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hahahahah 5 acres

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Okay? Who responds a month later with that?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Somebody living on way more than 5 acres? ?‍♀️

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Considering the cost of wood right now that is a lot of post to put under ground... Or is that what one usually buries!

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Just did this in SW OH on our property. Did 24-36" in the ground, enough to be below frost line

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Depends on a number of factors and soil conditions. To stay true, posts should be buried below the frost line.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Based on the easy of insertion I'd say this is some REALLY soft soil so it needs a lot of pile underground to stay upright

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Rule of thumb is usually a 3rd in the ground. But depends on soil conditions

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Snap-On Tools salesman: That’ll be the GDP of 22% of the World.

4 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Jesus. You looking to corral semi trucks.

4 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Actually we did these for our backyard, looks way better than chainlink + cheaper. And for our back pasture we did it for our camel and lama

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My thoughts exactly! What the hell is he trying to hold back?!?

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

really dumb music, just fyi

4 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

The song did a better job than the machine at driving this post into the ground

4 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

...when you work on a swamp.

4 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 1

Post most likely has a pointed end. With that, you can push it through most soil.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is that what she said?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I was hoping someone would hit that easy lob!

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No, the post pounder have more power than you think. We pounder posts next to tree roots in December on our property without much issues

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They laughed when I built a castle on a swamp.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Used an attachment like this for a backhoe. Dont need soft ground or a pointed end, it'll punch through anything

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yup! Just did it on our OH property in December

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's good theory, but shallow hard rock will stop it dead. Source: seen a crew break 3 backhoe-mounted hammers on sandstone/limestone combo.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That would do it. We hit a couple boulders that forced the post sideways, but sure beats doing it by hand!

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

True, given the choice I'd use this machine over by-hand any day! But it's always about the right tool for the job... and a lot of patience!

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Works until you it the big rock 2 feet down.

4 years ago | Likes 105 Dislikes 0

theres gotta be a hole dug, but possibly same diameter of the post. so its a good post

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

The splinters and explosion would be awesome....

4 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 1

Or the gas line

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Or a goddamn submarine!!! Oh wait…

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Nah, most of them have an auger to break up rocks. Source - just did 5 acres like this, check out my post

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I've never seen one with an auger haha.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Look at my posts. The one skidsteer attachment we rented had a post driver like a hammer and also an auger bit on the side

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The pole has an auger?

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Look at my posts. The one skidsteer attachment we rented had a post driver like a hammer and also an auger bit on the side

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I looked after I posted this. The auger is much smaller than the pole than?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes, you still want the pounder to force through some dirt so the post is in tight. Also our posts were 6" dia, but you can have 4" too

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Must be nice having soil that isn't hard as concrete.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

That thing actually runs pretty bad. I have a "hand held" hydraulic version of the same tool and you just hold it steady and it hammers ->

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Anything to the ground, even if there is a rock, the post just shatterst to dust. We managed to turn a 120x6 steel pole into a flower withit

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah I was thinking if I tried to drive a post like that into some ground around here it would just shatter the post.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Where you at?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Those post pounders got more power than you think. Did a big fence chunk in December on our property

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If I tried that here I'm pretty sure it'd just split the post. Unless that's a steel post I guess.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Those posts are each easily 30lbs of solid wood, they ain't splitting

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Nothing like an anthem song for a post being driven

4 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

The guy is even wearing headphones to protect him from the crappy song.

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

why the fuck do people put music with things like this?

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

To establish the illusion from themselves that they did anything interesting to create or improve the video. :')

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The thing is, it requires extra effort to keep the shitty song in, cos its off by default. So, it's actually @op fault.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Sounds like the music in Jamie O'Brien youtube videos during his surfing montages

I was expecting loud machinery and ear pain. That music really threw me off guard.

*Guy is staring at a post being driven into the ground* The Song: THIS IS HOW LEGENDS ARE MAAAADE

4 years ago | Likes 167 Dislikes 1

I think they were listening to the song in person while working, its sounds to flat to be put in intentionally

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

Yeah. I was like “take it easy, he’s just watching a post being driven down to the ground”.

4 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 1

HE IS A LEGEND IN THE MAKING!

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

sounds like an awful song

4 years ago | Likes 46 Dislikes 1

It’s by a band called Pop evil, so yea...it’s bad

4 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 2

Its legend by The Score. Good song but overused.

Fucking tiktok culture. Every clip needs a song apparently.

I hate that too. If you're going to make "content" use your own shitty voice. But then, I can just read reddit on my own anyway.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Even if it was the best song, why? Why does it need to be there for this clip?

4 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1
