Way to go Botswana! That's fantastic news.

Thank you, @OP. Please don't stop doing this. I'm using polite words and everything.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Natural disasters getting less deady? *stares in Australian*

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

God damn I didn't know how badly I needed this. Thank you

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's nice that at Annapurna they care for homeless cats while they don't mind abusing humans working for them.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I cannot see any good anymore in doubling life expendency, anymore. There are too many people living too long in this single earth

"Infant mortality at all-time low," *US Republicans have entered the chat. Wait for it.

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Thanks for the source!

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

EA only denied the toggle until they write the code to be able to charge for it.

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Why fly a bunch of lions to the US and not Africa?

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

#5 must be thanks to this

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

#5 and to think it's all from Stephen Fry's cameraman getting shagged by a rare parrot

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Lovely post

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Ironically people are complaining about the option for your sims to not be queer

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

The people who complain about such things tend not to think, just have knee-jerk reactions.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I don't get it about Stray. Any info? It looks like I would love the game, and I want to help actual strays. What's my course of action?

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I got it. Anwser is: nothing, unless I am a UK citizen. (I can still buy the game of course, but that has nothing to do with cat shelters)

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Thank you @FeelGoodNews !! You are my favorite Imgurian! I hope you have another fantastic week!

#4 Pretty sure she's done this a few times. Though, those aren't the videos of hers that I usually watch.

3 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

Wait… does she do? A man needs a name

She doesn't do what you're probably thinking. I enjoy her videos nonetheless.

I watched my girlfriend play all the way through. Loved it. Some sad stuff, too. ?

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Cat behaviourist, Jackson Galaxy, played it! His video about it is on YouTube.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Wow. EA not ACTIVELY being garbage when given the slightest chance. I'm amazed.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Also, yaaaay, the most adorable head-fucking parrots are on an upturrrrn

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

#2 child morality is at an all time low... But the US is doing everything they can to country the threat.

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Hell yeah, kakapo survival! How exactly does Stray raise money by giving away "free" copies?

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

The winners are likely the ones who plan to do a fundraising stream for the charities

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

#2 infant deaths about to spike In USA...

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

#3 is kinda dumb. Before the sexual orientations settings, all sims were pan.

3 years ago | Likes 66 Dislikes 7

It's about customising gender, pronouns, and preferences for queer representation. You can't, however, *prevent* them from being LGBTQIA+.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

They did say all original sims will still be pan. Just going forward new ones will have sexual orientations. Plus you can always edit in CAS

3 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

Im just shocked people play sims and do anything other than trap them in pools with no way out.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It’s not really dumb though. It’ll help cement it so that sims who are attracted to certain genders only accept romantic interactions 1/

3 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

From the genders they’re attracted to. Even the option for aromantic or asexual sims too. It’s great for those who crave more realism 3/

3 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

And actual representation from the game. It gets annoying when the supposedly gay or lesbian sim you make starts flirting with the 3/

3 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Opposite sex, because it feels wrong to you, but there’s nothing stopping that sim.

3 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

Which means that there's no true representation for anyone else, if you wanted to be gay, ace, or even straight, you had to (cont)

3 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 5

actively look out for and manually reject advances that didn't fit what you wanted. This update is a good thing for everyone.

3 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 4

You mean kinda like real life?

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The update doesn't get rid of advances, it just makes Sims say no automatically if the person isn't a gender they're attracted to.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sure, I just think it's funny homophobes were protesting a change that would let them finally make straight sims.

3 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 4

They probably didn't think about it before that, since they were in control and believed everyone they controlled was straight.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Surprised there’s not a micro transaction that lets you switch, being EA.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This decision is probably coming from a market analysis than true concern over gender representation.

3 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 0

Like anything corporation-related.

3 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

They all had the potential to be pram but in practice all non-active sims defaulted to cis for flirting and family construction.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As a veteran gamer I don't understand people who get offended by LGBTQIA+ characters in games, they are sometimes my favourites 1/2

3 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 6

2/2 like Dorian in Dragon Age, Bill in Last of Us , Parvati in Outer Worlds, Petra and Janeva in Zero Dawn and Wekatta in Forbidden West .

3 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 5

Dorian is amazing <3

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

Don't forget, Sims have always been queer, till now, now they can be straight instead

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Made a cute male Elf just to romance Dorian. I love his story arc.

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Read Bill in Last of Us as Bill in L4D. "Oh, I didn't even know. Neat."

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

SAME I was like what how do you know that

We need more of this to balance out the negative news. Thank you!

3 years ago | Likes 411 Dislikes 4

This post made me realize how starved I am mentally for good news. I had no idea how bad it has gotten

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Hey the world is dying but at least some YouTuber is buying stuff people lost while destroying the planet even more, for views and money.

There's always at least one...

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Anyone play stray? I wanna review from you guys before I make the purchase.

3 years ago | Likes 202 Dislikes 3

Solid sound design, great animations, general fun but short. Is worth your time and if you do achievements for fun you'll get a few plays.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I've watched a friend play about 5 hours of it, and it's a fantastic story. There are some things I wish was included, but it's fine.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My friend I made it literally 3 minutes in and knew it was everything I wanted it to be. Worth playing.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

It made me feel things. Otherwise an amazing game.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

There's a button to meow. What more do you need?

3 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

Walking simulator but actually fun and cute.

3 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

It's truly amazing, the atmosphere is like no other game. Whole heartedly recommend anyone and everyone plays it

3 years ago | Likes 89 Dislikes 3

It's fun, but the moments of just being able to be a cat are kinda limited.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

From SkillUp’s review I took away: amazing atmosphere, incredibly slick movement, but be aware that you may suffer performance issues on PC

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Great game, completed the story today. Light on gameplay mechanics but the world, characters and story are good and interesting.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I am playing it and it is amazing. :) "Short" playtime as I hear often, is relative. I am now at 8.7 hours and explore everything.

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

It's a great game, but the platforming is basic and it lacks puzzles. You play it for the story and atmosphere, which are great!

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Jacksepticeye plays it. He released a video like a few hours or so ago

3 years ago | Likes 0 Dislikes 0

You play a cat trying to go home. What other things do you need to know and why is it not in your cart yet?

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

My wife bought it 2 days ago hasn't stopped playing it since. Game is pretty awesome, graphics are stunning.(She played on pc with a 2080s)

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Game is great, short, but worth it. I own it love it hope they make a sequel.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

An incredible and beautiful game with at-least two points in it where you will feel your heart wrench with emotion.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I watched CalleMeKevin play it. It looks amazing, like a game I've always wanted

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

I don't play it but after watching some streams of others game play I'd say its worth the buy.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

waiting for a sale

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

I have been playing it and I love it. I also realized in a past life I might have been a cat. I keep pushing things off shelves.

3 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 2

Possibly relevant to you, albeit not as pretty: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1237730/Catlateral_Damage_Remeowstered/

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I push all the things in this game lol

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I scratch up everything too. All the wallpaper, curtains, rugs, and furniture I can find. The devs have found a way to manipulate me well.

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

It's short, but that just means it doesn't outlast it's charm. If you like platformers like Mario or just cats, then you'll like this.

3 years ago | Likes 63 Dislikes 2

Is it even a platformer? You cant fall off ledges and are primpted for every junp

3 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

This game is doing a lot of things other games don't. It's one of the reasons it's getting the praise it is. It deserves it wholeheartedly

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Ok but calling a game a platformer when it isnt one ??

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

It's closer to a free running game like Mirror's Edge, where the challenge is looking for the next thing to climb, not executing a jump...

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It's a really fun game, just apparently not very long.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I bought it guys. Only about an hour in. It’s cool as hell.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ah, so you've finished it.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Its fun. With a charming and earnest story told without a shred of dialog. Its a lil short, but most indie games are. I have 7.5 hrs of play

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Just got it last night love it! Reminds me of portal. Definitely worth the $30. Also using a controller is a must if playing on pc.

3 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 2

I did perfectly fine with mouse and keyboard. To each their own, I suppose.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

2hours in. Loving it. Very well made. Free on PlayStation extra (so we’ll worth the £23 extra cost for the year)

3 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

It only costs £25 to buy outright on Playstation (PS4&PS5 crossbuy), that said, it is worth the money

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

It’s a super chill game, relaxing to play mostly puzzle solving/side quests, no combat

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Idk, being chased by Zerks isn’t that relaxing

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My brother- gamer for 3+ decades, and my 11 year old daughter played it all day yesterday on his Steam Deck. Love it. She advanced his game

3 years ago | Likes 156 Dislikes 2

So far and found some cool little things and places he had missed. It is beautiful

3 years ago | Likes 78 Dislikes 2

It does have a habit of getting you right in the feels too…

3 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

Yes. They were sitting together on his couch playing, 2 of his 3 cats lolling nearby… my kid and he suddenly gasping bc cat in peril

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Is he ok? He’s ok. Ok. Ok. Ok, I love you uncle.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Been thinking about getting it, watched fav' streamer and cat lover Day9 play it for a bit. Part of me wants to get it because the cat look>

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

just like my cat, and the kitties the game are quite realistic. And therein lies the problem for me, any harm that comes to the cat will >

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

break my soul. I was already crished and in tears when the cat got separated from his kitty friends in the first few minutes. Being an evil>

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

bastard in ME series or my latest live BG3, but seeing a life like kitty in trouble and sad or hurt... too much. /e

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I would say it's a pretty easy game. A little too easy and a little too short. It's cute though and I like it anyway

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Too short.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'll be waiting for autumn sale or winter sale. Seems to be way too short for 30 bucks.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Search the game in Twitch if you want an endless cascade of live playthroughs. I've yet to hear a negative review.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Great game I think, had to stop 5 minutes in, because I didnt want to see her hurt.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I was disappointed, because I expected quiet/thoughtful parkour through a post-apocalypse, which it only was for (most of) the first half.

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 4

The presence of actual enemies and NPCs that you can/have to talk to just as much as any other silent protagonist RPG threw me, as did the

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

absolute linearity of most areas (side paths did exist, but were short and contained only a single collectable). I still enjoyed it, mostly

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

(barring Midtown), it just wasn't what I'd expected having originally wishlisted it after the first announcement trailer.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Was hoping the movement was a little more free, instead of 'snapping' onto places. Was really hoping for more cat-like action.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Good, but short. Finished it in a few hours. Nothing super revolutionary plot-wise, but that's fine TBH. Just enjoy being cat.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Also I nearly tripped people on two separate occasions doing the zoomies across the city. So, it's pretty accurate, is all I'm saying

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I bought it yesterday after seeing stellar reviews everywhere. The first part is fantastic, you're a kitty doing light puzzle solving, but

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

then this robot shows up, and there's an audible CHUNK sound and suddenly you're playing a different game. I am not enjoying the robot

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

parts at all.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Its really good. Linear story game so don't expect quick action sequences etc, but I adored it to bits story and gameplay-wise.

SPOILERS, dude. Jeez

3 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Sorry! I keep seeing people blaming the game because of it, had to be mentioned.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

"Sorry, not sorry. I spoiled any mystery the game had for you guys."

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Wait what?!

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Sorry for spoilering, but, yeah.. The legit horror part is halfway into the game, once it starts to amp up, defo send the kids out for a bit

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

A cute game and visually interesting but if you get motion sickness or headaches at all from games you absolutely will from this one. :(

3 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 3

Even in 3rd-person? That's a shame. I get motion sickness from 1st-person games but 3rd are generally ok.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not sure why people downvoted you, have the same problem. Can play for like 10 mins before I feel sick. Had same with Subnautica sadly

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Bonine pills help a TON with this. My mom gets very ill from visual stimuli, but Bonine let's her play video games including Stray

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thanks, I'll give that a shot!

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I heard turning off motion blur can help that

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thanks, I'll check that out.
