You can actually live decently with 12k here. Average apartment near capitals downtown is like 400€

But yeah, outside the capital and 1 other bigger city, its woods and swamps.those are pretty cool. Still, scandinavia has all that + more
And racism is one of the reasons why. Local nazi party has gained a lot of support recently with the immigration 'crisis'
It is a problem indeed. A lot of people work in Finland as janitors etc since its the only way to make some sort of a decent living.
A lot of really racist people, government pretends everything is cool. Horribly low welfare etc
Been living here for ~24 years :D
