Whenever you need some faith in humanity, look in my /Aww folder here. https://imgur.com/user/xtraa/favorites/folder/5512237/aww

Lucky you, my nearest Quiznos is 3146.61 miles away. I guess we don't even have them here in Germany

understandable, they really need a rebrand and reinvention or something. Everything just looks 90s, but not in a good way.

I only remembered this from my Prof at university who once showed it in a course about the history of capitalism. You could say, Karl Marx did not create capitalism, but his critique fundamentally shaped the political and social reforms that later made mass prosperity within capitalist societies possible.

Oh hey!

Haha, hello! I'm German, and for me I'd say it depends. If it is the center of the message, I absolutely agree. Here it was more like this for me: I read the article, thought "aha, nice!" and a few seconds later "okay, but how?". So my focus was on the text, not the illustration.

Fun fact: Marx is also the father of wealth capitalism, because before him, workers earned only enough to survive. --> Saving and accumulating wealth were impossible for ordinary workers before Karl Marx. It was only through him that we have today's capitalism with individual prosperity. Which is what makes him the father of wealth capitalism. But don't tell that to any conservative who immediately shouts "socialism!" when they hear the name.

Because I shared bsky's image to add my own question. I'm more the type who's interested in meaning and context, not formal subtleties.
