many societies are dependent on keeping women pressured to compromise their boundaries for the sake of having children, because women who won't undermine themselves - will find out just how much real power they have to actually select respectful partners, to raise their children confidently, and to have boundaries through all of this. gaslighting women into a subhuman role is the only way corrupt, evil men can continue to maintain power, and have a "legacy"
Right, imo vengeance would be making Trump suffer in every way possible after what he has done to the country, underaged girls, and who knows what else. Justice might be more like freezing all of his assets, appropriating them to correct & pay reparations for abuse, ordering he can never hold office again or be within x distance of a minor, and sentencing him to prison for life. Sometimes I want vengeance, but that is personal, while justice is the best we can do to move forward.

and a good number of them were elected or raised up at one point by the masses. we all collectively need to do better discerning who should be in power, especially the US .. though it may be too late we can just look at our own social circles, companies, employers, schools, etc. how many times have we seen the good looking, charming, superficial, selfish, power hungry individual gain power over those with genuine moral fiber, compassion, intelligence and understanding of how to improve things

A wild theory could be that someone with a lot of power knocked her up / raped her, then this was the cover up story they pushed, somehow convincing Mary to tell it, and the person in power propped up story. In this theory, who knows if Joseph knew the full truth, or was just gaslighted by someone in power.

I think the problem goes even a bit deeper. It's also all the people who continuously vote in ways to maintain and prob up such systems, because they want the chance to be like that billionaire. Sure billionaires and corporations suck, but there a lot of voting people who are greedy and suck too.
